Our reservation was for an ocean front room with one King bed and one queen. When we arrived, the unit was across the street from the beach (see picture below) and there were 2 twin beds instead of a queen. The reservation indicated we were not bringing children. The building was near the "family fun zone." I called to verify the reservation before driving 4 hours. I do not appreciate being lied to. I did not know there was even a building across the street. Below is their layout. Pretty sneaky calling two different buildings OBBC II." Staying at the Sea Ranch from now on.

This resort provides very easy access to the beach area. The beach itself is very clear of debris and obstacles so walking and or swimming is unrestricted. The resort is very conveniently located with plenty of restaurants and shopping areas. The Wright brothers memorial is very near, providing an educational and leisurely experience. I used the week to write memoirs and work on a gaming project. Really enjoyed a tea session and a yoga session. The recreational staff is outstanding

Had a quiet and relaxing time. The unit was perfect for our four families members and the kitchen fully stocked so we were able to use as a home not just a hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. the pool is heated but a bit older and the same with the hot tub but we enjoyed it all the same. The unit we had was 15 B and it was across the street from the beach so an easy walk everyday.

Relaxing and very enjoyable vacation. Would like to visit again in the warmer months but still had an awesome time. Lots to do and see.

The resort itself was very nice and well maintained. Very nice pool area and easy access to the beach. Great location near Kitty Hawk. We explored from the beach of Corolla south to Ocracoke.

We enjoyed our time on the OBX. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a welcome breakfast and told you about activities there that week. No timeshare sales meetings! Units are within walking distance to beach. Units are dated, but were clean. We had a 1 BR unit. Liked the free towel exchange mid-week. They give a starter package of soap and paper products, but was sufficient for week.

This resort is showing its age (popped nails and such) and has a lot of design problems. Almost all of the units in our section were round and faced in toward the pool, which was okay unless you get a one bedroom unit (all on first floor) where you have people walking right outside your window. If we wanted any privacy, we had to close the curtains, making the unit dark with no view at all. The furniture was too large in our unit. For example: big chair in bedroom had to be squeezed around to get into bed; the DR table had to be nearly against wall to get past it, so only practical for two people; the recliner chair in LR was too big to place facing the TV or couch without blocking path to kitchen. On the positive side the staff and activities were great and varied. The beach was very nice, although the resort-labeled umbrellas and chairs are only available for rent from some third party.

It is an older resort needing some maintenance in a good location. It is on the beach but because of the sand dune in front of it there are very few units with ocean view. The ocean access is very good. The pool is ok. Other being old and minor maintenance issues. I have no complaints. There is an out door pool we used and an indoor one across the street we did not use. The location is very good. It is centrally located very near the national park. There is limited free laundry on the premises. The elevator is not convenient for most units so most people take the stairs a lot. The kitchen is very well stocked with utensils.
