Hotel Kilkenny

It was a lovely room very big. You must put the tag on the door handle if you want your room cleaned daily. I wasn’t aware of that information so my room wasn’t cleaned.

Perfect place to stay for families. Nice swimming pool for kids and excellent food.

My second time here, and to be fair, a better experience this time, I like the location, the staff are courteous and professional, the place itself is lovely, the room is spacious and overlooking the leisure centre , the negative points for me were, the lack of choices in terms of bar food , kids options etc, breakfast was prompt and good quality and good selection, overall I feel Kilkenny in general is punching above it's weight in terms of food prices v quality.

What an excellent hotel , the rooms are nice and the beds comfortable. The hotel has a gym and sauna etc, the best thing about this hotel is the evening food… was nothing short of fantastic , I had soup which was homemade with chefs own Irish soda bread and then the main dish was Seabass with saffron cream and creamed potato’s and sauted veg… the freshest seabass I think I’ve ever had, was delightful! I have been coming to this hotel for years and never fails! Will be back again soon hotel Kilkenny!

We attended a sit down 'Fureys' concert in the Skyline, Hotel Kilkenny last night. From the start of the concert our enjoyment was marred by loud talking from the back of the room. After approx 40 minutes of constant chatter I approached the security and asked them if the could do anything as it was ruining the concert for a lot of people. I was told that the manger had been informed. It got so bad that one of the Fureys asked those involved to go downstairs to the bar if they wanted to talk. The Fureys were great, its a shame the manager and security were not the same as they took no action.

We stayed, my husband daughter and son, as part of a special needs group weekend stay. We were greeted by the receptionist who was warm and extremely professional as all staff were in the Hotel. The food, breakfast and dinner were all fresh and plentiful and delicious. We stayed in rooms on the third floor which were spacious and housed really comfortable beds. There were tea and coffee making facilities and there was a room service menu. There was a safety deposit box and clean white robes in the wardrobe and slippers. There is a leisure center with a 20 meter pool which again was lovely and a separate Jacuzzi. There is a Sauna and a mist/shower room which again was a surprise and which I would recommend. There is a spa which we didn't use but looks beautiful. Everything on their website is true to reality. The only one thing which I was disappointed about was that there is a hair salon located at the Leisure Centre run by a lady called Anne (I found her name from the receptionist at the Spa). This was a Saturday and I wanted to book a wash and blowdry for later in the afternoon. I left messages from 10 am and texted and the reply each time was "This is Anne please leave a text message or call and I will get back to you". I later found out from the ladies on the Leisure Centre reception that Anne isn't in situ on Saturday. I was very disappointed whereas if the message on her phone had been that she didn't open on Saturday, it would have saved my disappointment. Just a suggestion as I'm sure there could be others in the same situation. We would definitely however return to Hotel Kilkenny for a stay in the future. Thank you Aoife Myler and family

Amazing Hotel, our room was very spacious and the bed was very comfy! They have mugs instead of small cups, which i love to see!!! Bar food was delicious, all staff were very friendly and helpful. Swimming pool is spotless and loads of space to relax!

Stayed at hotel kilkenny & had a fantastic couple of days for my wedding anniversary.it has been done up since I last stayed, the decor is amazing very modern & funky. The food was beautiful couldn’t fault it,The staff couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommend.we will definitely be back.:)

Just back from a lovely trip to kilkenny we stayed in hotel kilkenny as every other hotel was booked out just 15 mins walk into town which was perfect for us we didn't eat in the restaurant in the evenings we walked into town every night the staff are very friendly and helpful the only problem we had was the room we were staying in the fan from the leisure center is so loud you can't even hear the tv would stay here again but not in a room near the leisure center
