Pennycroft is the ideal B&B.Located in Kettlewell the owners Laurence and Lizzie are really friendly and welcoming.The room we had was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast fantastic,lots of fresh fruit and yogurt, cereal etc plus Laurence cooks a great Full English.We would highly recommend this place,it was perfect.

Great location. Lovely room with a delightful garden view. Friendly hosts who are welcoming but not intrusive. Nice homemade cake and cookies. Excellent breakfast, so much meat and non meat choices for such a small B&B.

Pennycroft is a lovely cottage in the heart of Kettlewell, where The Calendar Girls was filmed. Laurence and Lizzy made us feel very welcome, and nothing was too much trouble, offering cake, glass of wine, milk if needed, just help yourself. Laurence cooks a wonderful full English breakfast, and fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals are all laid on to help yourself. Tea and coffee also in abundance. The lounge/diner overlooks a wonderful garden full of birds gathering each morning to fill up on the feed put out, a delight to watch while eating breakfast. The bedroom is a good size with ensuite shower and loo, plenty of hot water. Again it overlooks the garden. the king size bed, could do with a change of mattress though as some springs can be felt. The one chair also needs a bit of attention as it sags down. Im sure it can be done in keeping with the age of the 1950s wardrobe and dresser. The bedroom would benefit greatly by the carpet being replaced. As mentioned the cooked breakfast was excellent, however the continental breakfast was disappointing. Having said all that, we felt very relaxed and was made to feel very welcome by Lizzy and Laurences hosting. such a lovely couple

We stayed for 1 night as part of our Dales Way walk. Our room was lovely with a view over the garden towards the river. Laurence our host was friendly and looked after us well, even putting sun loungers out in the garden for us. Fresh fruit was served for breakfast along with a choice of cooked breakfasts. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in the area.
