Sibuya Game Reserve and Lodge

The most magical trip of a lifetime witnessing nature at its most finest. We stayed at Bush Lodge, and were treated like royalty by the small, personal, friendly team, who really couldn’t do more to make our holiday absolute perfection…and it was! Have to commend our ranger, Calem, who knew every species of bird (there’s 800), by sight and song, every species of plant and animal, or really is mind blowing. We are coming home with a camera roll jam packed with photos, and hearts full of memories that’ll last a lifetime, I absolutely can’t recommend Sibuya enough!

I thoroughly recommend Sibuya! My husband, two kids and I had a fabulous stay in River camp - the accommodation is beautiful and very well thought out - all the little touches have been considered and provided, and the nature viewing was great. The river cruise to get to camp was a really fun start to the adventure, and the drives in the reserve were great, with a truly excellent guide - so knowledgeable and interesting, but also really fun and relaxed. Meals were really enjoyable and everyone eating together made it feel very fun and homely. My kids are already asking when we can go back!

We spent 2 nights in the tented forest area, and it was absolutely wonderful. All the staff were lovely friendly and knowledgeable. We had Brian and JP on our drives and they went above and beyond to ensure we saw as much as possible and we did see the big 5. The team in the lodge does a great job of ensuring we are all fed and watered The tents are very comfortable with very good showers and decent beds. Overall I would very much recommend it and would love to go back someday

Just finished our 2 night stay at Sibuya, could have stayed a lot longer. Amazing break from start to finish, beautiful place,fantastic food and lodge. We were very lucky to have Bryan as our Ranger who gave us an education throughout our time with his extensive knowledge of Animals, birds and the environment we were in and also a big shout to the rest of the team who made it a truly memorable experience for us. We passed a few game reserves on our way to Sibuya, but count ourselves extremely lucky to have booked here. This was truly a trip of a lifetime as we seen so much wildlife and game that we could never see at home….once again thanks to all who made our stay truly memorable

I travelled to Sibuya solo and participated in their volunteer program and I can fully recommend it to everyone who is interested in learning about nature and animals, in having open discussion around various topics and broadening the horizon. Sibuya has a variety of wildlife in their game reserve and every day of the volunteer program was completely different. My personal highlight was definitely the Elephant monitoring and learning more about those amazing animals. I stayed there for 3 weeks and my friends and family were really impressed by how much I learned during this short period of time (and so am I). I could have definitely stayed for more weeks also due to the very positive atmosphere at the Intaka lodge with other volunteers, students and of course the full team there! I can highly recommend Sibuya to everybody who is interested in a real wildlife experience which is respecting animals and nature!

Travel light to the lodge - you only need warm clothes and a waterproof coat. Bring a good quality phone/camera as the wild life is stunning.
