Kenosee Inn & Cabins

This hotel was the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in. I can't stress this enough, but cleanliness was not found anywhere I was in this hotel, including the places where food was available like the breakfast room. The problem is, this is the only place to stay inside the park. Don't do it, just get a hotel in nearby Carlyle. This review was for the room, not the cabins you can also rent. I did not see inside of those.

The positive: beautiful views, nice beach and clear water. My meal the first night was delicious, but barely lukewarm. My husband had a burger which, looked homemade but was tasteless. We also waited 50 minutes for our meal and I never received my salad until the meal arrived and I asked for it. Out second night we ordered 7” pizzas. Delicious except my dough was raw in the middle of pizza. The continental breakfast is not great. Nothing hot except waffles and toast. Plastic tables and some were dirty. The side of the mini fridge was disgusting. The whole room was dismal. The hallways are dark, carpet old and a funky smell. The property is not well kept. Junk to the right of the entrance and weedy and unkempt on side of the building. The rooms are dated. Cola or something sprayed on the wall behind lamp. Not sure how long it had been there. The bathroom had been redone, but then painted a different color than the walls and door in the rest of the room. Why not give it all a fresh, matching coat of paint. In general, Kenosee Inn is tired and drab and in serious need of an overall refresh. Definitely not worth the price and definitely would not stay again.

We rented Cabin 11, July 2-5,2023. Super friendly staff working the front desk. Our two bedroom cabin was clean, and included exactly what they mentioned online. We ordered pizza and wings from the restaurant, and the owner even helped carry the pizza to our vehicle. Great location. Food was very good from the restaurant. We will defiantly stay again.
