2023 was the year of hotels for me. I must have stayed in close to 30 different properties up and down the East Coast. Traditionally, I’ve stayed at mostly Hilton properties, but have also stayed with Marriott and IHG brands. Here we are in 2024, and I’ve already spent close to a week in hotels, except this time, I’m staying in a Hilton Homewood Suites in my town because my home flooded. If you can imagine the stress that comes with a flooded home, you get where I’m at. Enter the folks at this Homewood Suites. I’ve been a traveler for decades, and I am here to say that this is, without doubt, the nicest, best kept, and most well-run of them all (ALL brands, even more expensive Hilton brands). I’ve been here almost a week and can’t find fault with one single thing. They clearly pride themselves on presentation, as the pool is open (excellent landscaping) and lit at night, just to show off what a nice place this is. Staff Anna and Riley have been incredible: nicest people on earth. Clean public areas and squeaky clean rooms. I can tell that this property’s manager cares a great deal about not only the property, but also about weary lodgers like me. In my most destitute of hours, this hotel has been a beacon of comfort and hospitality, and I can’t fully put into words just how much that means when your house is flooded and you’ve nowhere else to go. Thanks to all at this wonderful hotel. If you are coming to the Atlanta metro for business, this hotel will be a welcome surprise: it’s simply uncommon to have a property of this caliber at this price point these days: really clean, really friendly, really comfortable. And I-75 is close by. Thank you again to this amazing team of people!
