Had an all inclusive half term break as a family in October 2024 and enjoyed our time at Gouves Bay! Lovely area with trips available and easy to book. Room was cleaned daily to a great standard and clean towels provided every day. We found All staff in the hotel friendly, helpful and interested. Special mention to Rio and Martyna who were there daily doing activities in day and evening. Both very friendly, chatty and provided fun things to do every day including stretching and darts which we enjoyed and evening entertainment! Highly recommend them both ! The pool and outside area always clean including sunbeds. Not sure how the hotel works so well midsummer with the outside area as only allowed 15 people in the pool at one time but was fine for us in October. Only downsides were all inclusive drinks not great, very watery and weak. Food although tasted good and presented well, was repetitive. And they really need to invest in some new beds! Boy were they uncomfortable ! Overall a good stay and would recommend, especially in quieter times ! X

Stayed here with my two sisters and we loved it here! We went off peak but the atmosphere was still brilliant! The staff were always friendly and welcoming and the building and room was always kept very clean. A special mention to Rio who we interacted with everyday, whether he was leading a morning stretching group, catching up with us by the pool or breathing FIRE on the evening entertainment, also Martyna as both are such a lovely people to be around and always seemed genuinely interested in our trip and making us laugh! Overall I would definitely recommend Gouves Bay for a holiday as it is a smaller hotel, great variety of food, on-top of the beach (which is brilliant) and very near to shopping areas, the aquarium and a small bus ride away from the larger city or neighbouring towns. Worth a visit if coming to Crete.

We were a large family of 10 ranging from 9 years old to 78! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gouves Beach hotel. There was plenty of variety at meal times and the hotel was kept immaculate. The only negative for us would have been the drinks at the pool bar where the plastic cups had an odd smell from them. A special mention must go out to the animation team of Rio and Martyna - they were just lovely. They made us feel welcome, always made us laugh and were fabulous at entertaining the guests throughout the day and evening! The hotel has a beautiful location overlooking the sea and only a few minutes walk from all the bars and restaurants!

The stay at Gouves Bay Hotel by Omilos Hotels was wonderful. We recommend it.Martyna ,Rio,Karolina very good serviceAnd Sotiris manager so good.Hotel very nice we are recommended for 100% sea are very close from hotel very nice food We will be back.

Really good service especially from Magda and Sortis, they have both been brilliant at helping understand Greek culture and giving us tips to take away from the holiday. All staff have been lovely and have made my vacation in Greece an amazing yet relaxing experience. Would definitely recommend coming here!

Had a wonderful 3 week stay here at Gouves Bay. Every member of staff is friendly and can't do enough for you. Food is excellent with a huge choice every meal. Special mention must go to the amazing maitre Sotiris, gosh he works so hard and always has a smile for you. All his staff seem to respect him and work tirelessly to look after every guest as if the are royalty. Our room was brilliant, large, and cleaned to a high standard every day. Lovely pool, gardens and the sea over the road. Another mention must go to Manos the barman - made wonderful fabulous

The staff absolutely lovely and made so many friends and everyone is so welcoming,friendly and kind. It a calm and clean environment towards family’s and they have nice activities on throughout the day. The restaurant is clean and tidy and have a variety of foods and drinks that caters for everyone. The weather is still nice and hot in October but definitely Bring bug spray.

The hotel is good for the price we payed, however there are a few things that were negatives for us. For example the baththub didnt have a protection for the water (just a curtain), so it was very hard to have a bath comfortably without having the bathroom floor flooded. It could have better cleaning in the rooms and also there were no “no disturb/no cleaning) tags to put outside the doors, (you need to ask at the reception). In terms of positives, the buffet had a lot of food, much variety, and in an entire week it was impossible to try everything, also all the staff members were extremely nice! The biggest disappointment was the animation of the hotel. Very very poor compared to other hotels we saw at night.

Hotel pool area was good, pool very deep with no markings to indicate. Drinks served in small plastic cups that had a horrid smell. (Would advise to buy a cup for your drinks) food was minimal and not very good. Chips were cold most of the time. All cola etc is local so didn’t taste great. Rooms are ok but shower water all over the place as very small but very powerful. Balcony was directly in front of the restaurant so not very relaxing to get ready and sit down. Staff were great. Malo (I think) on reception was lovely. Entertainment was very minimal and cheap but staff did their best with what they had. Would not visit again but overall an ok trip.
