Astir Beach Hotel

Beachfront property with 3 pools , restaurant with full all you can ask for, breakfast and comfortable rooms. Although we were here October swimmers were enjoying the facilities.

We had a brilliant experience with nick the doctor on site which we greatly appreciated as me and a friend had a bad accident on the beach on which it near lead to a death experience, he helped and treated us to the best of his ability and he was so kind, courteous and helpful and without his help we don’t know what we would have done! Thank you nick for all you done for us! We will never forget what he done for us! Thank you

The rooms are smelly, i need to pay the beach beds which is very greedy. My expirience was bad. I hope this hotel will change 4 stars to 3 or 2 stars

All inclusive at ASTIR BEACH means : poor quality drinks, poor quality food , no bottles for drinking water but ONLY TAP WATER 🤦‍♂️ and it smells very bad , you have to pay sunbed on there own beach , smelly rooms . It is a 4* hotel but realistically is a max 3* hotel . Find another hotel if u want to see Creta !

The hotel has a good location next to a nice sandy beach, the hotel itself is tired and in need of maintenance and updating. The food is good but the restaurant isn’t that well organised, the staff are helpful and friendly. The entertainment is a bit relentless! Could be cleaner

I have mainly good things to stay about this hotel but I will start with the couple of negative points for transparency. 1. The rooms are very dated and the furniture was damaged which led to myself and my son begging splinters from the broken wood. This is not a major issue as we did not spend much time there so we did not raise anything. 2. The all inclusive package is not really worth the money both in availability and quality. The fruit juices were very poor and often ran out. There was even a day where there was no ice cream left and the one self service beer tap at dinner was empty and was not changed. In addition, there is a bar next to the pool that is closed during the day and when it opens at night is only a paid bar so you have to walk to the lobby bar to get a drink. This is not a major issue but during the day when you have been in the pool you cannot go inside to get a drink which leaves you stuck. Positives 1. The staff are absolutely wonderful and really made our trip. From the waiters/waitress’s to the Alexandria animation team, they were excellent throughout our stay and should be rewarded. 2. The location could not be better. The hotel is right next to the beach and short walk along the beachfront from the main road which has excellent restaurants and shops. 3. The food was amazing and although some items were repetitive, they tasted so good that we honestly didn’t mind eating some things more than once. There were a number of options that were new every night so it was great. 4. The pools and kids club. These were super important to us staying with a 3 year old and we weren’t disappointed. The pools were clean and never over crowded and the kids club was superb. The team there had activities for the kids and the equipment was clean and safe so our son was very entertained every day and had the best time. One slight issue was the sun beds which were often reserved before they even opened the pool area which meant if you were reasonable and waited for the pool to open at 8am, you wouldn’t get a space by the pool. Often it was older people who didn’t even come down until later or simply sat by the bar drinking so this was frustrating and I would like the hotel to police this better but appreciate it’s difficult. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would likely return to the hotel for a short stay and would recommend booking a stay here.
