Sunbirds Chobe Hotel

We were very comfortable in our room, it had everything one would want. The staff were lovely, but something was missing. We put it down to the lack hospitality management skills. No reception area. Basic breakfast. The kitchen could have been screened. That said, I would still recommend it.

First of all, during the time of our stay some parts of the lodge were under construction. However, we did not feel many restrictions or annoying noises. The staff was extremely friendly and service oriented. We felt all the time super comfortable. Rooms were clean and room-service was provided on a daily basis. A well maintained and lovely garden made us feel even better and swimming in the pool was so nice. Breakfast (6-9 a.m.) was excellent (note: one could also order scrambled eggs or an omelette with bacon and beans). In case of an early leave e.g. for a game-drive, a take-away breakfast bag could be ordered alternatively. In case we wanted to have dinner it had to be ordered by 2 p.m. The variety of dinner was limited but very tasty and of good quality. We had for instance once a fried river-fish (forgot the sort) and lasagne (both were excellent). The lodge also offers a variety of decent wines (either entire bottle or by glass) but also Savanna Cider (😊), beer and soft drinks like Fanta and Coke. The lodge-team also organised a 3h-river safari for us (group of 6) which was very interesting, professional and to a competitive price. Note: It seems a minimum amount of 4 people is required if a longer than 3h river-safari is wished! According to the team there will be a grand opening in spring 2025. We hope to be able to visit this lovely and cosy lodge again. Lititia, Boa, Linda thank you so much for making our stay so nice.

Our four night stay was super enjoyable. Large bedroom, bathroom and living room plus outdoor garden patio in its very private garden. (only few rooms have this feature) Staff and owner are warm, willing and more than helpful. The safari experiences on land and water which thy arranged were all well guided and on time. Wonderful outings. There are three separate small building areas and two pools. The breakfasts were excellent and you order what you want instead of a buffet. Other meals are not currently worthwhile so plan to eat dinner and/or lunch in town or have delivery. It is located only few minutes from Zimbabwe border crossing so this speeds up a day trip visit to Victoria Falls. I would certainly stay again.

This is a great place to stay if visiting Botswana! The lodge is around 10 minutes from the Zimbabwe border and is well placed for Chobe National Park, river safaris and game drives. Sunbird's have lovely grounds, 2 x pools, the rooms are apartment size with AC and good facilities. The owner, Boa, is lovely and can't do enough for you! Boa will arrange the tours, taxis, even takeaways at very good prices! The breakfasts were very good and all the staff were fantastic, really friendly and helpful! So pleased we stayed here and would definitely stay again and fully recommend it! Thanks, Boa and staff for making our stay fantastic!

This hotel was a last minute booking and our luck changed from the moment we arrived. The manager and her staff are delightful and will do everything they can to make sure you have the best experience. They arranged an evening boat trip, a morning safari and a nando's delivery when we realised we should have booked dinner in the morning. The gardens are peaceful, the pools clean and the warthogs cute as heck when they sneak in. The rooms are generous and very comfortable with great a/c. You need a taxi to get to kasane as this place is tucked away. Very highly recommended!

The Soul of this place is Mr.s Boa. She helped with everything, even going to the airport to collect our luggage that was lost in the flight to Kasane. She booked a tour to Victoria Fall from the evening to the next morning, and was very nice before we travelled in giving suggestions. The flats, these are flats not rooms, are very large, nice anche clean. Tha place is a little outside the town (like most accomodation in Kasane) and very quiet. Only, minor, downside, you need to book the dinner the evening beore or the morning. In case you don't, Mr.s Boa organizes a delivery from a couple of nearby fast foods. Definitely a place I'd return

Affortable stay near Kasane. Unexpetedly huge apartment was super clean and well equipped. I think it is family run hotel and the owner lady was super friendly and helpful. Hotel has a nice pool and garden. Very nice stay overall!

Lugar fantastico e ideal para descansar en Chobe. A 15 minutos del parque nacional. Habitaciones grandes, piscina y lo mas diferencial el servicio de Linda. Sin duda la mejor de todo el complejo. Siempre pendiente de todo y ofreciendo alternativas. Linda de 10!
