Arkasa Palace

This could be arguably the most unpleasant unprofessional experience I have ever had in my life. I booked a specific room 6 months prior to my travel dates for a special occasion. A few days later, I received a message saying my room was "upgraded". I responded immediately kindly asking not to be upgraded because I did not wish to change rooms. I even asked if there was reason for this proposed change. No response. A couple of days before my travel day, I contacted the hotel for a typical confirmation, and I again underlined the fact that I did not wish to be moved to another room. The receptionist who was clearly not experienced tried to persuade me by using words like "You will go to a premium room" "more luxurious room" and many more stereotypical phrases. I insisted on staying with my original selection. The next day, the day before out trip, we received a message that our reservation was cancelled And when you think it doesn't get any worse, here you are: My reservation was not cancelled, despite the message I received, so I tried to call the hotel and find out if there was a mistake. They did not pick up the phone, and when I insisted, they hung up ! My reservation was finally cancelled late at night, and I spend all night looking for alternate accommodation. This is by far the worst customer experienced I have ever received in my life

Our first vacation in three years, first time together without the kids, we had high expectations. We arrived on april 29 and there she was, Maria from Arkasa Palace, she gave us the most warm welcome! The boutique hotel was beautiful with a warm,modern and luxurious feel to it. Breakfast was a small party every morning with delicious products and home made items. Throughout our stay Maria was always there to answer questions, talk about our day trips and give ideas about the ‘must sees’ and provide the guests with the best of service. The Island of Karpathos is full of beauty, friendly people and amazing food. Our expectations have been exceeded, in spite of the weather conditions. Highly recommended by us for a peaceful, relaxed vacation with a touch of magic, both Karpathos and Arkasa Palace!

It was my first time to visit in Karpathos and it was amazing island! I stayed the Hotel Arkasa and it is fantastic hotel.. we had the quiet our, the room it was clean every day, we had amazing view, reception and the hospitality we had was perfect.

TL;DR: We were given a different room with different amenities than what we had prepaid for without notice, the room we were given had problems (broken sink) and the location is not any different than many other, way cheaper and friendlier alternatives in the area. Booked a room over phone + viber, and paid the complete amount upfront as agreed. When we arrived, the receptionist took us to a different room, hoping that this would go unnoticed. After questioning the lack of specific amenities, only then she proceeded to inform us that the room we booked had been given to some other people who arrived earlier that day, and we were "upgraded" to a different room. There was no such notice, let alone agreement, before we arrived. We argued that we did not accept this change, at which point she tried to convince us that the room is better and worth it, and that she couldn't switch us back because the other people had just been given our booked room. On top of the lack of specific amenities, the "upgraded" room had a broken sink, and when we complained about it we were told that "thanks for telling us, we couldn't know, we don't live there". Not sure if she was just being naive or claimed to not inspect their own rooms to ensure a level of quality. In the end they refunded us, being very unprofessional and sarcastic in the process. Fortunately, we managed to find a place with similar level of amenities, with better location and with a price 5 times lower, within the next 15 minutes, for the same day.

Accueil chaleureux par Maria, la fée du logis. Elle veille à ce que l'on ne manque de rien en restant discrète et un service personnalisé. Belles chambres, parfaitement entretenues par un jeune couple indonésien super attentionné. À conseiller sans réserve. À 2pas de la plus belle plage de l'île.

Karphatos è un isola piuttosto grande che riesce a soddisfare i gusti più diversi, dalla maggiore confusione di Pigadia al turismo organizzato di Laki ma anche angoli di vera Grecia come Arkasa, Finiki Lefkos e Diafani. Se scegliete Arkasa, la più comoda, equidistante e vicina all’aeroporto scegliete senza dubbio di alloggiare all’Arkasa hotel. Tranquillo, pulito, gentilezza, ospitalità e cortesia sono garantite da Maria e sua madre. Noi abbiamo scelto la junior suite, grande e molto confortevole con vista sulla piscina ( sempre molto curata). Ci sono anche altri alloggi con piccola piscina privata molto suggestivi. È sempre presente un angolo cottura attrezzato che consente di essere autonomi per i pasti.
