Elewana the Manor Ngorongoro

Unparalleled luxury and service in the hills of Ngorongoro We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our two-night stay at The Manor at Ngorongoro during our honeymoon. Located just 30 minutes away from the entrance to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, The Manor constantly wowed us with its beautiful grounds, fantastic lodging and attentive and caring staff. Located on the grounds of the coffee plantation, the grounds of the Manor are absolutely spectacular — offering a peaceful escape after a long day spent on a game drive. Some of our favorite memories are relaxing on the patio, smelling the roaring fire and enjoying a sundowner. (The espresso martinis are fantastic, as are the bar staff — who are a riot). The grounds are beautifully maintained and also fenced off, so no need to worry about wildlife entering the premises or escorts back to your room after dinner. The rooms themselves are absolutely wonderful, offering plenty of space, a fireplace that is lit up every night after dinner, and a luxurious clawfoot bathtub. Everything about our room was so elegant and relaxing. As for the staff, Aneth was so attentive in taking care of us at breakfast and dinner — helping us with anything that we needed. The food was immaculate, while the entire staff also treated us to a private dinner for our honeymoon on our final night — including a special assortment of our names decorated with coffee beans. Special shoutout to Altus for the fantastic wine recommendations, as well as Shariff — who was always cracking jokes whenever we saw him and was so friendly.. The Manor itself is a luxury accommodation straight out of a postcard, but it was the staff that really made our stay so memorable. We can’t recommend the Manor enough!

The Manor is breathtaking. If you go you need to stay more than one night, and plan for at least half a day (really at least 1 full day or more) to enjoy the grounds. The guest associates are always 5 steps ahead of you planning things to make your stay that much more special and knowing your needs before you even ask. We went for our honeymoon and they took such good care of us. For dinner they would set up the most beautiful romantic dinners. The food was delicious. Every plate that would be brought to our table was art. Very delicious art. And all fresh. Do yourself a favor and indulge in all the coffee. Everyone there went above and beyond. And the grounds are so amazing. If you are a big aesthetic person then you will fall in love. You will feel as if you have been transported into the most magical world. Perfect for relaxing and also perfect for photos.

The Manor is an exceptional lodging, combining luxury, great food, wonderful staff, and gorgeous surroundings into one remarkable package. Our group of 10 all enjoyed our stay, and were sad that we had only 2 nights to enjoy all that this place and area has to offer. Shariff made sure that our meals were excellent with his great sense of humor and attention to detail. Our drivers Andrew and Emanuel were very skilled at finding animals and providing great information on our game drives at Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater. While next very close to the Crater (90+ minute drive), we felt that the Manor was still a great choice.

My wife and I stayed at the Manor whilst on a Micato Safari. We were with a group of eleven exploring the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Lake Maryana National Park. After exploring each day we were greeted with warm wet clothes to cleanse the dust off our faces and a hot bubble bath. Later after a 5 course gourmet dinner and social time we returned to our suite being greeted with fire in the fireplace and a bottle of non-alcohol (requested) bottle of wine. We spent two unforgettable days at The Manor by Elewana, and we absolutely loved every moment. The property is stunning, with its beautiful Cape Dutch architecture and serene setting on a coffee plantation. The ambiance is both elegant and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind. A huge thank you to the manager, Altus, whose incredible wine knowledge introduced us to some truly spectacular wines during our stay—each meal was paired perfectly. We also want to give a special mention to Charles, who took such great care of us and ensured we felt pampered throughout. The food was oh-so-delicious! It was the best food we had during our entire stay. The entire staff was amazing, always attentive and warm. We were genuinely sad to leave and hope to return soon. It was an exceptional experience from start to finish!

An excellent Base to tour the Ngorogoro Crater/Caldera. Superb facilities on the scale of a premier resort. Altus and Leche are the Management Team leading an outstanding Staff able to cater to your every desire. Meals are an art form in both taste and presentation. A wide variety of wines are available, courtesy of Altus's expertise. A special shout out to Sigi, our great Butler, and his Assistant, Charles. Bashu was our wonderful guide for this last part of our Safari adventure, providing great insights into the culture of the region. Having a delicious lunch in the middle of the caldera was a real treat!

The hotel is approximately 30 min drive from the National Park. It’s a beautiful real estate in the middle of a coffee plantation. The hotel is well protected. You don’t need a guard to get to your room. The rooms are big, well equipped and clean. We very much enjoyed the quality of the food and wine list. Especially the service orientation makes your stay memorable. Peter took discreetly care of us - outstanding. It was fun talking to hotel manager as well. The place offers horse back riding and other activities. We can highly recommend The Manor.

Lechie and Altus made sure that our stay was comfortable. Our family had two cottages. Plenty of space and amenities. The port wine was a nice touch. As soon as we retuned from our Crater tour, bubble baths were waiting for the ladies. We were in the lap of luxury. Baraka took great care of us and saw to our every need. He is the best! The food was amazing and the wine selections were top notch. The grounds were amazing and well-kept. We truly felt very special and would encourage everyone to stay here.

The grounds are beautiful. The garden area is postcard worthy as are the rows and rows of coffee plants. We enjoyed lunch on the crater floor, fireplace, bubble baths, great wine selection (Altus knows his wine!) and a private romantic dinner with amazing flowers from their garden.
