The pictures on their website are from some other houseboat, as confirmed by their own staff. The boat is in shambles. Every room is in a bad shape. The rooms are dimly lit. The bathroom tiles are broken. There are spider webs with dead spiders and other insects hanging from them. The plumbing is barely working. They promised us an air conditioned room and charged us 10k for 1 room. There was no AC. And we found out that other occupants were paying 6k for another room in the same houseboat. This was despite us booking the room well in advance and the other occupants booking at the last minute. Our kids refused to use the bathrooms since they smelled bad and looked unkempt. The door to the room was crooked and left a 4 inch gap at the top when closed. I can go on and on but the truth remains that we were scammed out of 21k since we booked 2 rooms. I would highly recommend anyone planning to book a houseboat to confirm with a local about the condition of the boat before booking. Or if possible, just avoid staying in one and book a hotel near dal lake instead at half the price.

I booked a room on December 6, 2022 for 6 nights. From April 28 to May 4, 2023. I got a message asking me to pay 50% as advance. I transferred the money to the owner, Mohammad Hanan Chapri and they confirmed my reservation. On April 26, 2023 I sent a message asking for directions. They did not reply. So I called them up. They said they don't have my reservation. They asked me to send a screenshot of my 50% advance. I sent it. I did not get any response. I called them up again. They said they cannot give me a room and refunded the money. What's the point? Prices have gone up by 500% now. They destroyed my holiday. The owner, Mohammad Hanan Chapri is a cheat and his business should be shut down by the authorities.
