I had a very poor experience at Hotel Sea View, Kanyakumari. I had specifically booked a sea-facing room, but on arrival, I was given a room at an adjoining property called Sea Face, which is not part of the main hotel. This was misleading and extremely disappointing. There was no in-room restaurant at Sea Face, so I had to walk back to Sea View for meals, which was inconvenient. The property also lacked basic amenities – there was no first aid kit, no lift, and no essentials like a water kettle, hair dryer, or iron in the room. I checked in at 6:00 AM and checked out by 7:00 PM the same day, but was still charged for 2 full days. This was unfair, especially since they claimed early check-in would be “subject to availability” at the time of booking. Overall, this stay was not value for money and lacked the professionalism and hospitality one expects from a hotel of this category. I would not recommend it, especially to those looking for a comfortable and reliable experience in Kanyakumari.
