This small two story motel was by far the best of several we visited in Kantharalak. The staff were friendly and helpful. The owner was cheerful and talkative, providing a great suggestion for dinner, and (without our asking) offering some of her coffee shop's ice to restock our cooler. The rooms were nicely cleaned and maintained (though they desperately need to replace the burnt out bulbs, and do a bit more spraying for ants). The air conditioning worked quite well. The beds were fairly hard, but that is usual in Thailand. Don't be too distracted by taking a shower basically on top of the toilet...this is Thailand and that's not all that unusual at a motel. The rooms all had refrigerators and some had microwaves. We left quite early (to get to the nearby national park for sunrise), so didn't have a chance to try her adjoining coffee shop, but it looked nice. We'd definitely recommend this spot if you are in Kantharalak. Oh...and the price is as you'd expect (B600/night) for a rural motel.
