Calder Motel

Terrible experience. The air conditioner didnt work properly and by the time I got back to the room and realised, reception had closed. It was also so noisy that I had to turn it off, and so kept showering every 30 minutes until 1 am when it cooled down a little. Everything about the room screams budget motel. The only thing going for the motel is the friendliness of the staff member. So given the noise from trucks on the highway, the bed which is basically a sofa bed, the sink that is not part of the bathroom and the price, I wont be staying again. While a little dated, was an awesome stay, perfect for our family with multiple rooms used (x3) and so well priced. Professional and friendly hosts, pool was great for the kids (& adults) and everything you need for take away food &/or groceries just across the road!

The best you could get at those rates. Air conditioned rooms and ideal place in the city. No pressure from the staff about leaving the place early. You get your own fridge, microwave and laundry stuff in the room as well. A great experience overall.

Negatives first. Dirty cup and toilet seat lid was broken. Positives. Comfortable bed with clean linen, which is as one would expect but doesn't always happen. The price to stay by Australian motel standards, was in line with what you would expect to pay. My only suggestion, is that the door needs a safety chain fitted.

A nice little spot on the way into Bendigo. Has everything you need at a budget price. Clean and tidy rooms. Close to so many shops, walking distance too them also. Staff were friendly. Nice big tv. Will use again. Thanks for our second visit team.

I was in Bendigo for a cycling event and the motel was well located. Easy check-in and very comfortable accommodation. If I am able to attend the event next year, I will be happy to making my accommodation arrangements with the Calder Family Motel.
