Kandy Panorama Resort

Beautiful hotel with extra ordinary hill view. U will love to stay and enjoy the nature from the room balcony. Really amazing. The room was comfortable. The staffs were very helpful and polite. The food was also good. Overall an amazing stay.

Breathtaking views and serene surroundings for a peaceful stay. The hotel is located on a hill away from the hustle bustle of the town which makes it quiet; there are no shops or restaurants in the vicinity and the main road or town Center is not at walking distance you would need a vehicle or a tuk tuk to get to places. While the rooms are nice and clean with serene views the staff at the restaurant is lethargic and not prompt enough. Food options and drinks are very limited. We had chicken soup for dinner and it was horrible. We then stuck to French fries which weren’t worth the price but a good accompaniment to the single beer brand the restaurant served with 10% corkage levied. Breakfast again very limited set menu with no staff to accept orders. Although the hotel is good the restaurant staff need to be trained for better service. Next day we visited a pizza place called Vitoa pizza in kandy which was a great dinner option for wood fired thin crust pizzas. Although it is pretty away from Ceylon panaroma hotel so you need a vehicle to take you there.

Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend staying at this resort. It is quite out of the way, tricky to get to even for a taxi. Having said that, the view is the only positive about this resort and the guy at the bar who was wonderful! On arrival staff were not the most welcoming, the room is very dated, quite dirty, mould on the curtains, the room wasn’t cleaned or topped up with toilet roll/water etc. the kettle was broken it felt very run down and needs some attention. There was an unpleasant smell of urine in our room and the shower was luke warm.

Hotel with fantastic view but if you look down you’ll see some construction works. The room we had had nice view from the bed for the Kandy panorama. Comfortable bathroom. Welcome drink was not a tasty juice. Breakfasts were ok, fruits, eggs, toasts,sausage and local food on request. Hotel located far from the city center.

We had a very warm welcome. The rooms were clean and tidy. Hospitality was great. Balcony offers a great view. Food was good. The manager and the house keeping staffs were very cordial. It was a pleasant stay.

Decent Budget place to sleep over. Nothing much other than that. Takes a significant effort to get to the hotel through narrow roads and bends. However the Hotel has a very nice view towards the mountain ranges. Rooms are simple and nothing fancy as shown in these pics. Washrooms dont seem to be well maintained and is stained all over. Shower wasnt working in one room and the tap was leaking in the other. If you plan to just sleep over only this hotel seems okay but if your expecting to stay in the hotel and chill, there is hardly anything to talk about or experience.
