White Camelot

Bit difficult to find initially as hidden away. However we received a warm welcome from Dushan, when we arrived feeling very tired after an exhausting journey. Our rooms and shower were spacious and clean. We had booked two rooms with balcony via *********** but only had one balcony but this wasn't an issue as we spent our time out and about. Dushan was on hand at all times to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. He arranged a driver for us during our stay which due to a misunderstanding got off to a bad start. Being from England we are not used to drivers waiting for passengers and felt we were overcharged but after an explanation from Dushan we kept our driver who was more than happy to take us wherever we wished, stopping off at shops, restaurants, and bakeries for a snack whilst waiting. We invited our driver to eat with us and chatted like old friends. We got on so well and found both our driver and Dushan very well mannered, polite, kind and friendly, as we have with all Sri Lanka people. This is our first visit and I will be highly recommending. This hotel is 10-15 minutes drive away from Kandy city centre (not walkable due to narrow and uneven roads) but there are a handful of cafes/shops 5 minutes drive away. We were delighted to wake to birdsong and lots of monkeys entertaining us outside our balcony.

We loved our overnight stay here while in Kandy. This hotel was organised by our tour guide, it was quiet and actually felt in the jungle. We had a meal at lunchtime organised by our tour guide with the owner Sucil and it was beautiful, much preparation was put into it and it was perfect. Sucil (the owner) was very flexible with breakfast organising it early so that we could be picked up at 7am to go to Ambuluwana tower. I would highly recommend. Im not sure how easy it would be to find as we were dropped off & picked up by our guide Eranda from Prince of Wales tours.
