The view is spectacular. Ama at reception and Roshan at the restaurant are exceptional people - professional, kind and efficient. Our room had a lovely view, expansive balcony, luxurious linens and a hot powerful shower. The food was flavorful, fresh and plentiful. We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Elegant Hotel Kandy and were pleasantly surprised at check-in when we were upgraded to the Presidential Suite—an unexpected but truly delightful gesture that made our visit extra special. The suite was spacious, well-appointed, and offered stunning panoramic views from two balconies—facing both east and west—allowing us to enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets. While the hotel is located a bit far from Kandy city, the peaceful setting and breathtaking scenery more than made up for the distance. It was the perfect place to unwind and relax after busy days of travel. The complimentary breakfast was simple but enjoyable, and we had dinner at the hotel on one night, which was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The staff were exceptionally polite and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile—something we greatly appreciated throughout our stay. A couple of small suggestions for improvement: including a tissue box and slippers in the room would add to the comfort. Overall, Elegant Hotel Kandy is a quiet hillside gem with outstanding views and warm hospitality. Highly recommended for those seeking a tranquil stay away from the city’s hustle and bustle.

Wonderful location, great facilities. One of the best massages I’ve ever had. The staff were so attentive and friendly and helped us plan the best ways to explore. The location is the perfect blend of close to Kandy but also quiet and a great place to relax by the pool.

We stayed two nights at Elegant Hotel, very welcome after a long drive, check in was seamless and pleasant, Amali on reception personally showed us our room and explained the surrounding area. The gardens are superb and beautifully maintained on a daily basis. The pool is sparkling clean with a beautiful mountain view. We stayed in a Deluxe room which had a beautiful and comfortable king bed, 3 seater sofa, bar fridge, tea/coffee, bathroom is clean and functional. Air con works well and there is a ceiling fan which we appreciated. There is a large sliding door out onto a lovely terrace with mountain views, the room is lovely and bright with elegant drapes. All staff are so pleasant and professional, always greeting you and getting on with their work. A very special thanks to Roshan who provided exceptional service at breakfast and dinner and is such an asset to the hotel, we can’t praise him high enough. Thank you Roshan. We also met the owner of the hotel who is a wonderful human being, he looks after his staff and genuinely cares about them and about the customer experience. He is genuine and you can feel it across all aspects of the hotel. They also organised a surprise birthday cake for my 60th which was very touching. Wi fi in the room is a bit patchy and didn’t work at all in the dining room. The location of the Hotel is half hour out of Kandy and a bit tricky but well worth it for the serenity and the experience and escape from chaotic Kandy and surrounds, we highly recommend to stay a few nights at Elegant Hotel.

Can't say enough about this very elegant hotel with an exceptional staff and outstanding sunrise and sunset views. From the moment you arrive you are greeted by helpful staff and a beverage reception to make you feel welcome. Super clean rooms have large sliding doors and large balconies. The linens and decorations are modern and sharp! The interior of the rest of the hotel is as the hotel is called, "Elegant"! A spacious formal dining room with a large veranda to allow indoor and outdoor dining and all with views. Not to be missed!

We stayed here for two nights as a family of four adults. We were fortunate to have our rooms upgraded to the presidential suite and super deluxe. Both rooms were beautiful and spotlessly clean. The view was incredible, with birds and wildlife in abundance. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast here. There was a good selection of food and all freshly prepared. The staff were lovely. Very smiley and obliging. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
