I was traveling with a group tour and this hotel was included in our trip. Everyone else on my trip was given a large room that had interior windows that overlooked the lobby. I was given a small room with a city view; however, it was so tiny I couldn’t open my suitcase on the floor, and it reeked of cigarettes. I notified the hotel staff, who nonchalantly brushed it off and said it was just the AC while two of my fellow travelers confirmed the horrible cigarette smell. I requested a room change, and for some reason, the first room that was suggested for me was a room with NO windows. I was told the hotel was full so I accepted it because it didn’t smell; however, once I settled in, there were quite a few problems. The room was missing a deadbolt lock, safe, hairdryer, water bottles, and a tv remote. The AC was incredibly noisy and woke me up several times during the night. I later found out that this room was usually reserved for tour leaders. It turns out that a few hours after I requested a room change, a couple that was in my travel group also complained about their room (which at least had a window that faced the lobby) as they wanted a city view, and they were later moved to a spacious room on the 6th floor with city view. Why I was given this dumpy room with no windows, and how the hotel thought this was acceptable is beyond me. On top of all of this, the WiFi coverage in this hotel is extremely poor. The lack of quality customer service and the lack of acceptable room solutions was incredibly frustrating and disappointing, and I would avoid this hotel at all costs.
