A peaceful and beautiful place, perfect for morning yoga's, stand-up-paddling at the Kalpitiya lagoon and a kite hotspot. The traditional Cabana's are amazing to stay at, surrounded by nature and coconut trees. The village is powered by solar energy and has sustainability and local empowerment as its core values. The food is local, tasty and the staff very friendly. The dolphin and whale tour that can be arranged by the hotel is an absolute amazing experience. The town of Kalpitiya is not focused on tourism, which gives the nice experience of just a Sri Lanka Village.

We had such a great time at Ruuk Village! It is off the beaten path, but within an incredible nature at a beautiful beach. We had a lovely wooden cabana with open air bathroom which was clean and equiped with everything you need. But the best was the staff: they welcomed us preparing a private dinner at the wooden walkway over the lagoon, made delicious food (responding special wishes), organized memorable trips and even brought us to a doctor when needed. We really felt at home, couldn't have been better. Thank you for generating these unforgetable experience!

We spent six incredible nights at Ruuk Village, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is perfect for kitesurfing, with easy access to the best spots and ideal conditions. The staff were exceptionally warm and accommodating, always ready to assist with anything we needed. They even showed us how to fish, how to weave coconut palm for hut roofing and we were able to go collect mussels. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it the perfect retreat after some days on the water. Also the food was really delicious and we really loved everything about it. Highly recommend Ruuk Village for anyone looking to combine adventure with comfort!

The team of Ruuk village gave me a wonderful welcome in Sri Lanka. It’s a beautiful, calm place in the nature. I loved the small jetty in the lagoon for sunsets. Huts are airy and cute made out of natural materials. Beach for kitesurfing is just a 5 min boat ride away. The team cooks fresh food for you, that is really good. Lots of variety, no breakfast was like the same.
