Grand Hotel Kalamata

This new hotel is classy and modern with beautiful rooms, some with lovely seaside views. My wife and I stayed in a junior suite with a sea view and enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunsets while sitting on our balcony overlooking the main seaside road. The staff were all very friendly and engaging and spoke English well. Breakfast was included; it was tasty and there was a good variety of a la carte offerings. Towels are provided to take to the beach which is a short walk from the front door. The coat was surprisingly low for this fine a hotel. The best in Kalamata. This is now my favourite hotel.

Very friendly staff, great hotel. The staff are doing outmust to make our stay wonderful. Place is clean and ordered. Very tasty breakfast with choice of meals. Just by the sea. Great location . Safe privet parking. We recommend this hotel for Kalamata

Having stayed here for the first time last year, following our double hop flight from Belfast to Kalamata with BA, our choice to stay here again was a no brainier!!! This truly is a first class hotel, it has a beautiful interior both in reception and the lounge area the standard of which is continued in the guest accommodation, and throughout the establishment. Its location is perfect, with Kalamata’s many shops and boutiques a short walk or taxi ride away. You have a choice of a stroll along the sea front promenade, with its excellent choice of restaurants and coffee shops, of just enjoy a drink and people watch from the terrace at front of house. All day and a la carte menus are available, in addition to the breakfast menu which is excellent in choice and quality!!! The Grand is further supplement by the excellent friendly and welcoming staff/team members it has in place. I totally agree with comments made it previous reviews that the Grand Hotel is the best hotel in Kalamata!!! Thanks to everyone for another enjoyable stay, look forward to seeing you again soon !!!

This is a true modern and sleek 4* hotel right at the seafront promenade in Kalamata. The hotel has a smaller boutique feel but offers all the comforts of much larger hotels. Breakfast is served a la carte and is tasty and fresh and the all day restaurant has varied seating options and great food. Best of all - the staff is super helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Eleni at reception for her assistance above and beyond.

We stayed here for two nights following our visit to the Mystras Archeological site from Nafplio. The town center seems kinda run-down, and we had to drive through some narrow residential streets with cars being parked on both sides to get to the hotel. Our rental Audi A3 felt a little too wide to us when we had to exercise caution and patience to sneak through the parked cars on both sides (lol). On retrospect, traveling with cars in Europe is a double-edged sword: it provides freedom and flexibility, but at the same time it is inconvenient when you have to drive through narrow and winding roads to get to the destination, AND have to find parking once you're there. We picked the Grand precisely for its habour front location with parking! Our room is on the small side, which is fortunately compensated by the high ceiling. It has beautiful furnishing and high-quality bedding with a cute balcony facing the harbor. Aircon is turned off by default and takes about 30 mins to match the desired temperature. The included breakfast with cooked to order eggs is very good. We also got espresso and a super delicious fruit smoothie to go with it. The smoothie is so good that we ordered it for our dinners as well.

Beautiful hotel with an even better staff.. we stayed here in 2022 shortly after they opened and we returned to find the hotel even more excellent… Beautiful rooms fabulous batting wonderful baths but Wutr at this hotel apart was the wonderful front desk staff.. Elena and Victoria, and everyone else at the desk made us feel welcome and wanting to return!
