Comfort Inn & Suites Joplin MO

One of the nicest and cleanest Choice Hotels we have stayed at. Desk clerk was helpful giving us directions to dining and other necessities while traveling. The breakfast was a step above the normal Continental fare at some of the other hotels. Scrambled eggs and sausage.

This room needs an update sooner then later. The bed was so used that there were permanent indentations where people had slept. The only plus to it was clean linens. The shower head had a replacement head that looked and worked like the $5.00 special in a budget type of store. The drain system in the shower/tub combo needs to be cleaned. It is never good when you are standing in 5 inches of water and yes the drain was open. The sink drain was corroded and there were rust stains in that area We have stayed in Comfort Inn and Comfort Inn & Suites in many states. This was the absolute most run down room in that hotel chain that we have experienced. We are non smokers so we have no problem with that policy. Never have we experienced having to walk through a cigarette smell like we did here. Several employees obviously use the work area near the room we had, as their smoking area. As a guest in their hotel we truly disliked having to walk through that smoke. Comfort Inn & Suites needs to re-evaluate this hotel There is no way that it meets the criteria to have that status.

This hotel is easy to get to from the interstate and is surrounded by lots of restaurants. The rooms are good sized, well maintained, and we both slept great. Easy check in and easy check out. We'll be back!

Property was old and a bit run down. Room was clean but tired. Tried many hotels in the immediate area last minute on a road trip and all were sold out so settled for this one. Not nearly as nice and updated as the comfort suites we stayed at in Dallas. Had the strangest shower head I can remember. Would suggest you book another hotel.
