Unfortunately, despite the fantastic seaview from the balcony overlooking causeway, our stay got cut short and we decided to check-out early morning around 2.30am for safety of our kids and us. One of my family member got bitten by bedbugs just when we were about to call it a night at 1am. At first we thought it was a mosquito but when sensing something is off, decided to turn on the lights and found bedbugs on the mattress. We decided to move to the living area and woke up the rest while we check the entire apartment to find even more bedbugs crawling on walls and unknown bugs on the kitchen walls. I updated the owner on the spot. Understandably, since it was wee hours in the morning, we did not expect much but our first thought was to just leave the place and head home carrying our young kids that were still sleeping whom were not aware of what was going on. The next morning, received reply from owner informing us that they will have their cleaning team to check. No apologies for the inconveniences except that owner was sorry for the late respond. In the evening at 10pm, i received an update from owner that the security deposit of $50 has been refunded which is part of the requirement for our stay. No mention about refunding our stay or any form of service recovery and no goodwill gesture. Very disappointed. My advice to other travelers, book at your risk. Do your own checks upon check-in.
