Mountain View Suites

One of the worst places we’ve ever stayed- would not recommend at all. Dated and dirty room, steep stairs as external access, poor lock systems and rubbish location if you hope to walk to any facilities! Noisy air con - so you have option of sleeping in noise or in heat. Coffee was provided - only doughnut flavoured 🤷‍♀️ We would e left immediately had anyone been there to assist but no one available.

This property is "unmaned". The property owner/manager is not located at the property and it shows. The steps and rails are unsafe. The hand rails are not connected. They need painting bad. The downstairs of the property is very nice. The steps to our room were very steep. The room was very small had no place for your luggage or to store your clothes (not that you would want to). The room looked clean until you looked closer. The area around the refrigerator had not been clean in awhile. The carpet was dusty. Also the shelves in the bathroom had not been dusted or wiped down in awhile. The same for the end tables. The tv cable controller was disgusting. The Suites were attached to a rundown row home and 2 doors up was a property that had caught fire and was for sale. I would not recommend staying at this property. My husband and I have stayed in cheaper properties that were cleaner and better organized.

Stayed for a weekend here in early December. We wanted to stay somewhere in town but no vacancies. If we knew what we were in for, we would have switched our weekend for another date just to stay at another place. This place is close enough to the train station and that is the only plus. The pictures are very misleading. We were in the basement room, we saw no Mountain View. It was shabby with a bad mattress, the tv was broken, the heat didn’t work in the bathroom, we had half windows with see through curtains, no paper towels or tissues, no tissues in the whole place, and no one on premises to address any issues. The steps outside leading to the parking lot were rickety, slippery (no grip tape), and buckled (very dangerous )! SEE PHOTOS The parking lot is very narrow with only 3 parking spaces (you can park on the street out front, the street is very steep). The door to our room was thin and wobbly even when locked, not secure at all. The walls are also thin. We called and emailed MANY times asking to be reimbursed or given a discount off our bill because of the broken tv and no heat in bathroom (these things were promised as a part of the package deal). They couldn’t bother to call us or email us back to even discuss it, no common courtesy at all. Don’t expect help if you have any issues. Save your money and go somewhere else!!
