Very pretty place with great views. Location is awesome with a very short walking distance to the old town, and a great restaurant nearby. Very friendly staff introducing various picturesque spots.

The accommodation is in a great location, just a 5-10 mins walk to the ancient town and bridge, and it’s accessible by car. Besides the great location, it has a fantastic countryside view - a view that one can stare at all day.
The host is very welcoming and warm. They kindly heated the room before I arrived, and gave me warm water when they saw I was sniffing away due to the cold winds.
Overall it was a pleasant stay. What would make it better is to provide a fluffy towel to use after showering, the current one is a bit thin.

Shaxi old town itself is a true gem on its own, and this place is a gem in a gem.
Hidden just outside of the Shaxi old town, it's proximity to the town square （寺登街）is a big plus. The landscape is super cozy, highly suitable for those who want to really have a good break from the hustle and bustle of city life, resting ones mind in an uninterrupted environment.
Let's not forget the lady owner taking care of the place, who is so accommodating and helpful. And let's not forget the hot fresh milk provided every evening, which gives another level of warmness to the stay.
Notes: if you are here on a Friday, you are of luck. The farmers market held weekly on Friday is just a few minutes walk away from this guesthouse too!

Fuxi Shanhai is such a wonderful stay!! We had a beautiful room and they upgraded us to a bigger room because of availability. The location is great, just a few minutes walking distance from Shaxi old town roads, but also very quiet. The best part of our stay was the host, who was a very friendly and hospitable man (who was previously a martial arts practitioner in Beijing). He treated us like family, and went above and beyond to also help us coordinate transportation to our next destination and get in contact with the hotel manager of our next destination to come pick us up and show us how to get there. In the rabbit warren cobblestone roads of Old Dali, it would have been impossible to find without his help and coordination. I highly recommend staying here when you come to Shaxi.

This inn is beautiful, they have lovely garden in the yard and there’s a platform to see the beautiful sunset. At night the boss gave us warm milk which was delicious. The room is very clean and spacious, the inn is located right near the bridge and just a 5 mins walk to the old town. I love the tranquility of this place. Highly recommend!

Location is great and the host helped us with everything we needed. The room is clean and exactly as in the pictures. The only thing I would improve is to have a door separating the toilet area from the room for more privacy, but it's a minor thing as we really loved our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Strategically located, very near to Shaxi ancient town and near to Friday Market. Quiet, beautiful gardens with room facing magnificent mountain views. Very friendly and helpful hosts supplying endless water and warm milk before sleeping. Room is clean with heater and warm water for bathing. Had a very comfortable stay there for 3 nights and would highly recommend to stay here.

A delightful inn with a beautiful courtyard full of blooms, greens and some fishes. The 4 of us were lucky to be there in April being the flowering season. Cosy outdoor areas to enjoy the environment and weather and snacks. Lovely mountain views from the top gazebo.
Great location in a quiet area with comfy room and amenities [heated toilet seat too]. Friendly and courteous staff. Warm milk for the night too. Highly recommend this place.
Short walk to the ancient town to Yujin Bridge, shops, eating places, canola fields and lotus ponds. Flowers blooming everywhere -- delights the heart!

The overall experience of our stay was good. The room was clean and spacious, good enough for our luggage. The inn is outside of the old town but merely 3 mins walking distance to the old town. It is not noisy at night, perfect for a good rest after a whole day long walking. The inn is accessible by car, the driver dropped us and picked us up right at the entrance. The manager is such a nice lady. She waited for our return till around 10pm, and offered us hot milk before sleep. It was such a great stay.
