Hotel Doña Blanca

This was exactly the sort of hotel we like for a city break. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, well priced, filling breakfast, and located close to the centre with everything walkable from there. To sumarise, whe we return to Jerez, which we we will, we will book here again, won't even look for alternatives 'cos this gives everything we want.

Excellent location to explore Jerez on foot. Our room was lovely! It had a big, outdoor terrace complete with loungers and a table with chairs!! The walk-in shower was excellent, and the bed was very comfy! We didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment. We only stayed 1 night, there is enough to do in Jerez to stay 2-3.

The hotel staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean and simple. It’s well located to the main restaurants and bars as well as the cathedral and Alcázar. If you arrive by public transport the hotel is well located but if you have a car it’s a 10 minute walk to the closest car park assuming the hotel is full which is likely. For me it feels as though the reception area (and bathrooms) are out of date. It all looks a bit tired. I found it abit odd to have coffee facilities and fridges dotted around the reception - reminiscent of a shop rather than a hotel reception. It feels 1980/90 rather than 2024. The buffet breakfast is adequate but unsupervised coffee machine needs an instruction manual.

For the first time ever, we checked out early. We had booked for 3 nights but after 2 without sleep, we had had enough. Every toilet flush, every shower, every tap turned on we heard it all. Pipes clanking, water running, drains flowing. Every conversation, each footstep, every door slam. All night. The room itself was dismal. The only window opened into a ventilation shaft, so we got no light. We didn't try the breakfast because frankly, no mediocre hotel continental type buffet is worth 10 euro per head.

Don't be put off by the immediate approach - this is a lovely hotel well placed for the nearby bars and restaurants. The bedroom was large with huge comfortable bed and pillows. The room is simply, yet attractively decorated. The bathroom was spacious with abundant hot water and great pressure for the shower. Immaculately clean throughout. Continental breakfasts buffet style, offer a good choice of cold meats, cereals,fruit and drinks. The dining room is small and if the hotel is busy then some patience is required in waiting and accessing the choices available. Reception staff are friendly and helpful and nothing a trouble to them. We would not hesitate in using the hotel again.
