Overall below average experience, for a 5-star hotel to be honest. Front desk and doorman were nice, but employees response to service requests were surprisingly slow. We booked a 2-bed room and when we walked into our room, we saw two twin beds were merged together into a larger one bed, so we called the front desk to send someone to fix this. They promised to come over in 30 minutes, but we waited for over 1 hour. No one showed up. Then my friend went downstairs to ask them again in person, and it turned out that the front desk didn’t bring it up to the room service people at all ! Next morning, we requested housekeeping and someone came over at around 10 am, as we were dressing up for a city tour. We told him to come back one hour later, and he said yes. A few hours later, as we came back from the city tour, expecting a clean room to take a quick nap before going out for dinner— no one came to clean the room at all! We were exhausted and didn’t want someone to clean the room while we are in the room, so we just ate it up and didn’t call again. Lastly, as we are checking out, I was craving for a cup of tea, so I flipped an unused mug and guess what, I see some beautiful coffee stains remaining at the bottom of the mug. If I was going to rate this hotel a 4 star before this, now they only deserve a 2 star. I cannot tolerate that a 5 star hotel unable to do the bare minimum for clients. That’s all. I will never come back to stay at your hotel again, and I will let my friends and family who travel to Jeddah in the future to avoid this hotel.
