Hands down the best hotel in Janakpur. Staff were friendly, location was great - within walking distance to the Janak Madir. I especially like the way they repel the insects so the hotel is clean and keep guests safe from mosquito bites. Food was good standard, would be best if they get the breakfast buffet covered when the food are left at the bar table for hygienic reasons.

Walking into Mithila Yatri Niwas without any prior plans turned out to be one of the most enriching experiences. It’s perfect for those who appreciate local hospitality and are looking for a genuine cultural experience. First of all staffs were friendly, humble and attentive.. whenever i was in need of service staffs were always there to help me and my family members. I am speacially thankfull for Laxmi Nayaran Jha for guiding my parents respectfully and taking care of them. I’d definitely recommend it to fellow travelers who are exploring Jankpur. I would love to stay there again with my friends by making plans.

Loved Janakpur and our stay at MITHILA YATRI NIWAS. The iconic temple was very impressive. There was also a long street with numerous vendors selling souvenirs and incense. Off to the side, there were food stalls that sold delicious snacks. The location is perfect plus very clean and the food was perfect.

Very good property with all amenities and excellent food would recommend this property for travelers seeking comfort and recreation for trips to Janakpur. The property is located very near to Janaki temple and Palace and other nearby attractions.

The best hotel and high quality. This hotel was once the property of Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam but later purchased and wonderfully maintained by a professional hotelier from Kathmandu. Located at a convenient place, walkable distance from Sacred Janaki Devi Mandir and other attractions. There is also an excellent restaurant and other facilities. There is enough parking available and Wifi is good.
