Papagayo Beach Resort

This has been the most incredible, cleanest, healthiest and most relaxed experience i have ever had! From reservations to welcoming experience at the resort, to cleanness and attention to detail. We rented the Royal Suite and it’s breathtaking. Taking in consideration that we were going to get visitors the space and all the luxury blew my mind since we opened the doors to our Villa 303. The cleaning lady comes every single day and cleans the whole villa. Clean beds, linens, towels and kitchen supplies all on point. In the afternoon everyday they bring chocolates to sweeten your afternoon ☺️ with a beautiful view of the sunset from your villa. The friendliness, courtesy, professionalism and kindness makes this resort and our stay a magical one. I will visit again and look forward to it deep down my heart. The Manuel Family.

Overall our 3 bedroom villa was excellent. Plenty of room for the 5 of us and the outdoor space was excellent too. The only thing that was disappointing is that the specialty restaurant on the resort property was not open. The beach club was nice with lots of choices for food and drink, there may have been a problem with the septic as there was quite a smell for a day or two between fresh water and salt water pool.

We had a very nice and great holiday. recommended to this resort, very good and clean house . very friendly helpful people with many tips unbelievable for the beautiful island to see . The Playa’s to see are beautiful, small Curacao for 1 day is beautiful

The villa was wonderfull and the nature around was beautifull. The birds early in the morning singing and comes to greet you. The silence and peace was incredable. The villa as also incredable , it had everything we needed. We would really advice our family and friends to stay at the Papagayo Ressort.

I don't recommend the resort - but do recommend the hotel. The ocean view room advertised on line is not the view you will get when renting an ocean view villa. We had a view of a roof. There are no screens in the living room in the villa, so basically, it's like renting two bedrooms and a huge porch. The sliding doors (which have slats in them that let the mosquitoes in) didn't even close properly, so we had to have someone come to close them for us. There were mosquitoes in the living area and bedrooms. There are mosquito nets for the beds, but the mosquitoes were in the living room as well. The bedrooms are air conditioned, but the bathrooms are not - so getting ready to go out is unpleasant. Hector in reception was super helpful and we were able to move to the hotel, but at a cost. They would not refund the difference in price, and the hotel was less expensive. They did cover the cost of a breakfast, but overall we lost about $200. The hotel was nice - very helpful staff. But inexplicably, there was a pile of dirty linens and garbage in the corner outside our room for the time we were there. There also is no beach right at the hotel - you have to walk down to the Jan Theil beach, which is just a few minutes walking. The hotel has chairs along a salt water pool - which is very pretty, but still not the beach.

Papagayo Beach Resort is a beautiful location. The Villa I stayed was very clean with a perfect structure for a family that wants to go out for dinning or lunch and also stay like your home. The attention of the staff is great, but we had some issues with the all inclusive system. I needed to call several times to the reception to ask to fulfill the refrigerator with water (in an all inclusive package, the refrigerator needs to be fulfilled on a daily basis, without asking). Another point os about the restaurant. Breakfast with not so many options (for the price we paid for the stay, I was expecting more options). Dinner - menu is always the same (everyday of the week) and the worst for us was that there were 2 nights with events in the main restaurant close to the beach and the hosts just had the option to ask for the snacks menu and not for the entire menu, which is not a reasonable option for an all inclusive package.
