Damodra Desert Camp

Our stay was extremely comfortable. The food was excellent, not oily and had a homemade taste. The staff were courteous and very welcoming and saw to it that we had all our needs met. The camel safari was very enjoyable and the sunset over the dunes was spectacular!

Worth every penny..be it the surrounding nature,peacocks,warm hospitality..everything..rooms are more than 3 star..clean comfortable.. They made our start as comfortable as possible..I was travelling with my toddler..they made sure they arrange warm milk,special paratha(non spicy),boiled eggs..last but not the least the owner is a great guy to talk to

Authentic rustic experience!!! Excellent customer service. Only 10 tents, unlike many others that look like army barracks. Good food, clean facilities. Book it.

This property was remote and secluded, making it a quiet retreat. Since it is so remote, getting to it was challenging, but once you are here it is a little slice of an desert oasis to get away from the noise of the city. The staff were amazing and accommodating. The food was delicious and plentiful. You can sign up for extra excursions if you like. The entertainment was incredible and very talented. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Had a wonderful time! This is THE desert camp to come to: nicely tucked away from the road (unlike many such camps), wonderful hosts and staff, great options for camel tours, etc. The room was spotless and incredibly comfortable with reliable hot water. The meals were also delicious. Highly recommend this spot!

We had a great time at Damodara desert camp. We were in a tight visit from US and were in two minds whether to spend a day in a desert camp - we picked Damaodara after a long research. Tue owner (Prithvi) was quite professional and courteous when we had reached out to him for Info, making the booking experience very good. The day before Prithvi had reached out proactively and arranged for pickup (from Marriott) We had a warm reception at the camp followed By a hearty lunch (like home cooked) served by a very friendly staff. I will give five stars to the entire team at Damodara (the cooks, servers, reception manager). The folks who performed at the evenjng show were so talented. Jeep and camel safari in the Sams Dunes area was one of the highlights of the trip. The jeep drive was like a rollercoaster, would have been better to have seat belts. The camel safari into the sunset was epic and the guide who was assigned to us (I think his name was Kash) was very proficient at his job and also warmhearted and good story teller. Lastly, we were driven back by the owner Prithvi who seemed very genuine. He is always at the site and directly involved in running the camp, that helps in making the experience great. Overall a very positive experience and will strongly recommend.
