Hotel Garh Jaisal Haveli

Garh Jaisal Haveli inside Jaisalmer Fort is a nice spot, really cozy and feels like you’re in a whole different world. The location is great, right in the heart of the fort, with some nice views and easy access to the local spots. A heads up though – if you’re arriving before 2 pm, you’ll have to walk from the fort parking to the hotel, since there’s only one entry point to the fort. We got an email and some messages from the staff about it, so we knew what to expect. It’s not a huge deal, but it’s something to keep in mind. The staff were super friendly and made sure everything was taken care of. They set us up with a guide for the fort tour, which was cool and informative. Also, the desert safari they arranged for us was definitely one of the best parts of our trip – such a fun experience. Oh, and the airport drop was all sorted too, which was nice, so no last-minute stress. All in all, if you’re looking for a unique place to stay with great service and a real feel of the fort, Garh Jaisal Haveli is definitely worth it. Totally recommend it if you're visiting Jaisalmer!

Garh Jaisal Haveli is a great place to stay in Jaisalmer. The staff are really friendly, especially in the kitchen—they’re always smiling and happy to serve. It really feels like you are staying at your friend's place. I had a little mishap with my medication running out (not ideal when you're traveling), but the manager was incredibly kind. He didn’t hesitate—he actually took me on his motorbike to help me get a replacement! I didn’t even ask, and yet he went out of his way to help. That’s the kind of hospitality that really makes an impression. The room is nice, full of character, and has a cozy, old-time feel. They also arranged a city tour for me, which was really informative and reasonably priced. The desert safari, where I slept under the stars, was an unforgettable experience. The food was another highlight. The restaurant offers fresh, flavorful meals that made me feel like I was eating a home-cooked meal. But what really makes Garh Jaisal Haveli stand out is the family atmosphere. The owner actually lives next door, and the whole place is run by the family. It’s this personal touch that makes staying here so unique. If you want an authentic, homey experience in Jaisalmer, this is the place. I’ll definitely be back!

It was an amazing experience to travel and Mr. Barkat khan arranged all my destinations in a very smooth way and we really enjoyed our stay in Hotel haveli and this is the best place to stay with the family and friends. A big thanks to Mr. Barkat for helping us out of box.

What a beautiful haveli! The rooms are gorgeous and the view from the rooftop restaurant is amazing. It is right inside the fort as the fort is a living fort. So there are havelis and temples and shops etc with people living there inside. The car cannot go inside the fort but there are tuk tuks that can take luggage as well as passengers up to the haveli. They charged ₹100 for one way. Food in the restaurant was also very tasty. We chose to have parathas, poha and fruit for breakfast though they have eggs, pancakes etc as well as options. Service was great!

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, best view in town and such a great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, have a very royal place like vibe, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Most of the places are nearby from this hotel. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

A quaint and charming heritage hotel built into the ramparts of the old fort. Our rooms were clean and well decorated, with lovely little window perches offering panoramic views over the city. Clean and well maintained. We visited in early July during off season (it was quiet then but I can see that it would be a popular hotel during peak season) and it really felt like home. We were given such a genuine welcome by the staff there in particular the principal manager and host who was working there from Nepal, that it really felt like home - he really looked after us all so well. Breakfast was varied and tasty with wonderful views. The children loved it and didn't want to leave. There are no TVs in the hotel rooms but you don't miss them. All rooms have AC, hot water etc. It is an unique and unusual hotel experience and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Jaisalmer.
