Khandela Haveli - a Boutique Heritage Hotel

This hotel may be OK in summer, in winter it is very cold, limited hot water and noisy rooms. A school trip vibe, not a heritage hotel it is also not good geographically a hike to attractions, shopping and restaurants. The breakfast staff were charming.

Didn't know about the property as a Royal one, but surely assumed it when we got an warm welcome at the reception during our checkin at 1AM at night. It was really the proper headstart for our long Rajasthan trip, with a perfect room to get Royal stay experience. Food quality at the restaurant downstairs was a nice one. Staffs were polite and professional, but one of them was more busy with the foreign tourists, and ignoring our requests, hence we had to go to other staffs to avoid embarrassment. I think the Royal stay of the guests should be perfect througout the property premises, and that should be taken care by hotel management. Location of the property is near the rail station, and just about five minutes away. The primary tourist spots of Jaipur are about 15 minutes by car from the property, but can be easily accessible via arranged car. Surroundings of the property is a residential area, and a bit lonely also. Overall it was a perfect start of our trip.

Having stayed there some years back and enjoyed the place and the food we decided to pop in for an evening meal Unfortunately it was a disaster. While my 2 friends enjoyed their dinner I had the misfortune of choosing chicken salami pizza ( it was not really a pizza but a soft bready dough base ) and after a few bites realized the chicken was off, tasting terrible ..luckily I wasn't ill as such but had stomach cramps for several days. No real apologies were offered. Very unpleasant experience .
