Alsisar Haveli - Heritage Hotel

Beautiful building - ancestral summer home converted to a heritage hotel in the 1990s. The room was large, bed was ok, didn’t need the air con so can’t comment on effectiveness or noise. The room did have a ceiling fan. The place has style but needs an update. All the staff are pleasant and helpful The sitting areas are nice as is the pool area, the pool is cold. After 2 nights the menu is limited ….. equally breakfast is a little limited but there is an egg ***. It’s fairly central so be prepared for traffic noise and noise within the hotel is noticeable. All depends what experience you want

I have stayed in hotels the world over. This one is by far the worst. Don’t be taken in by the photos. They don’t represent what it’s really like there. There is a horrible smell in the area that I can’t even describe. It permeates your hair, your skin and your clothing. Most of the plumbing does not work saggy old beds. Somewhat unfriendly waiters. My advice to you is run the other way!! This was a completely horrible experience.

The building has character that is the best I can say about it. From our arrival to checking out we've only once received poorer service from hotel staff in all our seven trips to India. Our room located up numerous winding concrete steps was very tired and could have done with a good clean. We never ate in the evenings during our stay so can't comment on that meal, however breakfast was very poor. We ate reasonably early but found that the food was barely warm and quite often the containers were almost empty. On one occasion another diner dropped a slice of bread on the floor and one of the waiters put it through the toaster and attempted to put it on my plate. As for the *** playing his instrument in the courtyard, it was okay once, however hearing the exact tune over and over again was a bit much. On the plus side I think he was the only member of staff that acknowledged us during our two night stay. The photos make this look like a lovely place to stay when actually it is quite the opposite!

Beautiful place in Jaipur to stay. People are nice in thé restaurant and réception, also the musician of the hôtel. Very good swimming pool and affordable food in the restaurant. Spécial mention for Stella the french bulledog. A part of History in Jaipur.

Very uninspiring approach but beautiful once you get through reception. Yes, it's an historic building, but that doesn't mean that it's acceptable for things to be a bit ragged around the edges. Food/service fairly average, particularly breakfast

Very special haveli in Jaipur. My daughter and I stayed two nights here and loved everything about Alsisar. The property is beautiful and as a restored haveli gives you a slice of what it was like to live in such a unique property. The dining room is stunning with a long dining table, chandeliers, hand painted scenes on the walls and ceilings, portraits of the Alsisars, excellent food, and very personal service from the wonderful waiters. We really enjoyed our meals. The pool is stunning and provides such a relaxing respite from the city. The details throughout and in the common areas are just beautiful. We booked a tour through the hotel that was excellent and we also booked our transportation through the hotel. I highly recommend staying here.
