Alila Fort Bishangarh

In my opinion, there are a lot of 5 stars - 7 stars properties to explore. But this one has been beyond my experience in every possible way. I have never felt more welcome before. What makes this place special are the people who serve you with all their heart. SAKSHI MAHESHWARI made sure we were looked after well, throughout our stay. If I’m ever coming back here, it is mainly for her. Thank you Sakshi for giving me an experience to remember and reasons to come back. Your genuine service will never go unnoticed and I won’t be surprised if you are the reason why Alila is regarded this highly :) Keep up the great work! Lots of Love, Israa.K

I feel like this is a review in 2 parts. First the great part. It’s a really unique place as a fort that has been converted into a hotel by Hyatt. They class it as one of their exceptional hotels around the world. The rooms are enormous(!) and the service is pretty good. The hotel has an infinity pool which you get to by golf buggy from the fort. Food is pretty good with a mix of Rajistani cuisine and small amount of “other”. There is also a very lovely bar in the fort. Drinks also not too badly priced. The spa is very welcoming and the masseur’s very good. On the flip side, whilst everything is clean,the robes and towels are quite shabby and could do with being upgraded. As a 5* hotel you would expect this and bath sheets rather than oversized hand towels. Whilst some staff speak excellent English others speak hardly any- which whilst not an issue as we realise you are located in a village and staff are from the area, others may find this difficult. Those that speak excellently tend to have come from Mumbai. Looking at this purely from expectations of a 5* hotel, some of the staff have dirty uniforms, stand around with hands in pockets, or when asked for something like a drink by the pool, simply forget! As I say, doesn’t bother me, we were on Indian Stretchy Time when we were there, but other guests may get annoyed. It seems mainly geared up to Indian guests, getting away for a few days or weddings rather than western travellers. We would particularly like to mention Santosh and Sakshi however who were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay

I recently stay, Ali Aila Fort Bishangarh This property is very poor property , property staff is very bad , at staff behaviour is very, very bad, property is not good and property food is bakwash Property security staff behaviour is not good is not good. Fort security person person behaviour is not good for my family and my children , and not provided buggy.

Our stat at Alila was beyond the expectation as the gigantic wartime fort when seen with naked eye's is more kaw dropping than in pictures. The staff at the Hotel right from check in to in room dining and house keeping does not let you feel of being a guest and treat you with more of with family vibe. All of them were friendly, easily approachable without any fuss. All in all a stay worth every penny with the views of fort turned into hotel, views from the hotel and meeting with villager's to give more personal touch.

We recently spent 3 nights at the ALILA Fort Bishangarh. Everything about our stay was fantastic! When we arrived to check in we were greeted with a cool drink and music by local Rajasthsni musicians. The colorful costumes of the musicians added to the unique nature of the arrival process. After enjoying the view of the imposing, historical fort from below, we were whisked up to our rooms in the fort via electric golf carts. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom amenities were perfect. The views out the windows of the surrounding countryside were outstanding. Each day we found an assortment of delicious local snacks in our room when we returned. We tried all of the restaurants and enjoyed everything we had. A special treat was dinner on the roof with traditional Rajasthani cooking and musicians serenading us. We also enjoyed our breakfasts. Our waiter, Aditya, was extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu. We tried a number of Indian breakfast items based on his recommendation and that added to the authenticity of our experience. We participated in many of the experiences offered by the hotel. A camel cart ride through the village, a tiger safari, archery, cricket and a tour of the kitchen garden. All of the staff were gracious and patient with us as we tried the local activities. My wife used the spa and enjoyed a very unique oil treatment for her “third eye.” And the high tea in the afternoon was delightful- a delicious array of sweet and savory treats to accompany our tea. Staying at the Alika Fort Bishangarh was truly a unique experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the local culture while relaxing at a historic, luxurious resort.

Outstanding!! We stopped here, largely unplanned, while on a short visit to India... and are so pleased we did. Without doubt, it was one of the highlights of our time in India. The hotel's team was outstanding throughout our 2 night stopover. The hotel itself was a calm, understated place of quality in all aspects. Simply wonderful. We are planning to return for a longer stay in '25.
