Cihangir Modern Suite Hotel Taksim

We loved the area, which is conveniently close to everything, including Taksim Square and Istiklal Street (similar to Oxford Street in London). It’s especially charming in the late evening with many shops and a diverse crowd enjoying the street food and shopping. The hotel is also near a tram station, making it easy to visit interesting places like Sultanahmed with its museums, mosques, and bazaars. The staff were incredibly helpful, particularly Mr. Alper and Mr. Seana. The hotel is also close to the Bosphorus, offering excellent views and a mall with shops and restaurants just down the road. Highly recommended hotel and staff! not applicable for us

Value for money. Friendly people. Clean . Helpful. Cosy beds. Close to all destinations specially to taxim square . And far from the muezines prayers. Safe city

This was the worst stay I have ever experienced; the pictures provided are all but accurate . When we arrived, we were disgusted by the absence of adequate service. They did not provide tissues, bins, bed covers, room and toilet paper. In addition, the wifi did not operate at any point, and the damaged building was full of bugs that bit you in your sleep. The toilet reeked of pee. However, the worst part was that the staff changed our room and left our passports and electronics in the old one. We would then find the clothes and underwear of strangers in our room and luggage multiple times.

I booked a room through Booking in this hotel, where the payment was supposed to be upon arrival at the hotel and the cancellation would be free. However, the hotel charged 95% of the price of the room earlier than expected. here comes the important thing for everyone! even for those who book through other platforms. For personal reasons I cancelled the hotel reservation a month before the scheduled date, and contacted the hotel for the refund of my money and here is the problem! All the time the person I contacted by private messages through Booking and Whatsaap (the owner, Merwan) told me that in 5 days I would have my money back, after 5 days I wrote him and he told me that in 10 days, then I wrote him and he told me that he would go to the bank to ask and he always answered me the same!!.....he gave me those excuses for 3 MONTHS!!!! this person always showed the intention to refund me the money, he told me that the problem seemed to be with the bank because the process was too slow. so I told him to send me the money to my account or to paypal or wester union and although he said yes, he never did it!!! he did absolutely nothing to fix the problem!!! the second option I chose when I saw that this person did not want to return my money, was to ask my bank to request the refund of my money to the hotel bank, however my bank responded that the hotel had not authorized the refund .... the last option I had (although it should have been the first) was to contact Booking and tell them that the hotel apparently did not want to refund my money since they always had an excuse when I asked for my money and I have been waiting for 3 months. Thanks to booking I got my money back quickly! booking will bill this hotel! and i hope they punish them! for behaving like this with their clients! if I had not booked through Booking, I would never have received my money! ... that for sure! unfortunately I cannot comment this on booking as the comments are only available to people who stayed there. so if you are making a reservation be aware of what kind of hotel you are getting into.......
