We booked this hotel in May to arrive 26 September for three nights. A trip to Istanbul was part of a long trip to Turkey we had arranged some of it by way of revisiting places we had been to years ago. We arrived at the hotel mid evening after a very delayed internal flight which reulted in a two and a half hour taxi journey from the airport which coincided with Istanbul rush hour. On arrival, and contemplating a relaxing lie down after such a journey, we looked to check-in only to be told that we had no booking it had been cancelled by us and there were no vacancies. We, of course, had not cancelled and they could produce no Email from us to support their assertion, in fact they printed off a document that was an internal memo saying the booking was cancelled. We we were tired and shocked and in remonstrating with the person on reception, who represented himself as the Manager, he threatened that if we carried on arguing he wouldn't find us another hotel. He rang round,found another hotel which was 20 Euro a night more and put forward the view that paying an extra 60Euro for three nights was hardly anything, well there you go During our trip to Turkey I had some difficulty with Emails, seemed to be hit and miss so it wasn't until we arrived back in the UK that i was able to scour Emails and found one dated 21 September(the day we departed UK) from the Hotel cancelling the booking, without explanation or apology. The obvious presumption being that they had overbooked or got a better deal from a group. This is a disgrace. It was also dishonest to insist and maintain we had cancelled because one thing is for sure, they will not be able to produce an Email from us dong that. So they have no respect or booking made and then fall back on deceit to explain their actions To anyone booking this place, good luck.
