Just perfect I loved the breakfast

Perfect location perfect hotel loved the place

Everything good about this hotel. Reception help a lot. I think it’s renovated, non smoking hotel. Love it. Room spacious, linens all clean, got elevator. Breakfast was good. Near to bus to the airport & taksim square

Das Zimmer sieht zwar so aus wie auf den Bildern, jedoch waren wir mit dem Hotel nicht wirklich zufrieden. Am ersten Tag hatten wir keine frischen Handtücher, es befanden sich Haare und Flusen darin, genau wie im Bett. Generell kam uns das Zimmer nicht wirklich gereinigt vor, da wenn man sich ein kleines bisschen umsah, man überall Dreck/Haare/etc. sehen konnte. Die Putzmädchen waren auch wirklich unfreundlich zu uns, wahrscheinlich weil meine Frau kein Kopftuch trug. Wir mussten uns immer böse Blicke gefallen lassen. Generell waren auch die Leute an der Rezeption (bis auf wenige Ausnahmen) recht unfreundlich und grüßten nie. Die Lage des Hotels ist zwar sehr gut, da es am Taksim Platz liegt, jedoch war es dafür die ganze Nacht lang sehr laut. Die Lüftung war ebenfalls sehr laut und machte die ganze Nacht quietschende (wie ungeölte Bremsen) und unangenehme Geräusche. Genauso waren die Wände sehr dünn und wir dachten, wir liegen mit unseren Nachbarn in einem Bett. Das Frühstück war zwar qualitativ okay (bis auf den Pulverkaffee), jedoch war es für uns kein Frühstück, sondern eher eine Art Vorspeise. Es gibt nur Weißbrot und ein paar türkische Dips, 4 Sorten Oliven, Rucola, nichtmehr frisch aussehende Wurst (1 Sorte) und Käse, getrocknete Früchte, Äpfel, Orangen, Joghurt und Müsli (gut möglich, dass es noch etwas mehr gibt, jedoch fällt es uns nichtmehr ein). Zum Trinken gab es Leitungswasser (warm), Cay, Milch und Pulverkaffee. Wir waren an keinem Tag wirklich gesättigt oder zufrieden mit dem Frühstück. Es wäre besser gewesen, das Geld bei der Buchung zu sparen und in den anliegenden Restaurants zu frühstücken. Außerdem ist es für einen Europäer ein wirklich gewöhnungsbedürftiges „Frühstück“. Beim Aufzug hatten wir ehrlich gesagt Angst, dass wir irgendwann stecken bleiben würden, dieser ist auch schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Schade war auch, dass man die oberen Stockwerke nicht mit dem Aufzug erreichen konnte, sondern immer zu Fuß gehen musste. im übrigen würde ich Ihnen empfehlen den Balkon nicht zu betreten, kann man sich dort wirklich nicht mehr sicher fühlen konnte. (man siehe die gegenüberliegenden Häuser, welche bereits in sich zusammen brachen) Insgesamt kann ich sagen, dass wir uns nicht wirklich willkommen gefühlt haben und, dass falls wir noch mal nach Istanbul kommen sollten, wir uns ein anderes Hotel aussuchen würden. Wir hoffen, dass wir einigen Leuten mit unserer Bewertung helfen konnten.

¡Llegamos a las 9 am después de un viaje muy largo y nos dejaron entrar antes del horario del check in a la habitación! El desayuno muy bueno y completo. La habitación, del 8vo piso, limpia, nueva y amplia. Muy serviciales los trabajadores del hotel.

Good location. Excellent customer service. Rooms are quite big size. High speed WiFi. Taksim square and Istiklal street are just 3 minutes walk. Breakfast is average though. Metro station is 5 minutes away. For the price, it’s worth staying there.

Very bad management and doesn't care about guest satisfaction, we booked and paid in advance for 5 nights 5 guests, we faced a problem in the airport and couldn't travel and we asked for cancelation refund, we asked to deduct for one night due to date of arrival passed already and refund the other 4 nights, they refused to assist us with a definite NO! Very poor way to deal with guests that lost every amount they spent on their short vacation! Never booking again its terrible management we spoke to the manager himself and he said ABSOLUTELY NO!!

The Faros was to us by Iglu cruises as a 4 star hotel as part of our cruise holiday. The hotel is definitely not 4 star. That said, the rating on the sign at the hotel was ‘special category’ and our room was very comfortable, if a little dark, and it was clean. There was a kettle and tea/ coffee in the room. The furniture in the room was functional/ industrial. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast had plenty of choice- something to suit visitors different cultures. The street is a bit off putting with what look like derelict buildings and rubble about and the front outlook is a bit grim but it is close to Taksim Square and transport links.

Just returned from Istanbul.We stayed at Faros Taksim Hotel. The hotel is well located, 350 m from Taksim Square, which is an important junction for buses (in the tunnel or above), M2 subway, F1 funicular ; to all directions, including Istanbul airport. There are many small shops and restaurants nearby. Be noted that it is also Faros restaurant with Italian profile, excellent menu, the best pizza, pasta like in Italy, the resturant is 400 m from the hotel. It should be noted that hotel customers have a 15% discount on menu. We stayed in the quadruple room, two interconnected rooms. A large, bright room with 3 single beds, TV, air heater, bathroom with toilet and shower, a kitchenette with bottles of water, mini fridge. The other room has a double king size bed, also with TV, air heater and bathroom with shower. It also has bottled water, a coffee maker and sachets of instant coffee, coffee creamer, tea, sugar. Very hospitable everything. The cleaning ladies are very attentive. For example, at first night we had approached together 2 single beds and next day the ladies arranged them with a double mattress on top , so we rested even better. All beds are high, with memory mattresses, very comfortable. The breakfast is good with eggs, salads,great various cheese, fruits, vegetables, milk, yogurt, tea, coffee at your discretion. I chose this hotel considering the proximity to means of transport, its location in Galata side but also because of the good reviews for meals. The staff at the reception is friendly, English speakers, full of kindness, they recommended the best options and transport links for the objectives we wanted to visit. Only 2 things would be negative, but it is not the hotel's fault, they are not to blame. - There is a night club somewhere on a parallel street with music all night long (starts after midnight until 4 o'clock). But the rooms' windows are insulated and if you close them, the noise comes to silence. - And mosquitoes in the rooms, but we faced this all over the city of Istanbul , at the Blue Mosque ,at Topkapi ,on the shores of the Bosphorus. We bought a mosquito spray from the nearby pharmacy and solve a liile bit the problem. We felt very good , everything is well organized, I recommend this hotel and bravo to the entire staff for their efforts to keep everything clean and organized.

Its a very well located and beautiful hotel ! The staff are very friendly. They dont know english very well but they are professionals at their jobs. I got our room with like 50% discount (limited offer) so it was a great experience considering the money we spent ! The only problem was the noise from the next room, especially in the morning . I called the reception for it and they gave them a call. We were on the 4th floor, despite the sealed windows there were noises from close clubs until 4am , it was tolerable Oh and very nice breakfast ! It was delicious with a wide variety . About 3-4min to taksim and there you could go anywhere you like with bus, metro or tramva Overall it was a very positive experience for me and my partner

In my opinion, this hotel is underrated, it is located a minute or two away from Taksim Square and Istiklal St. The hotel itself is clean, and the rooms at least the one that I stayed in offer plenty of storage and work space. The bathroom is very well separated from the room and the toilet and showers have their own space. The breakfast offers many different dishes including 2 or 3 hot ones. Staff are friendly, and the best part is that the hotel manager is present most of the time which oversees the operation of hotel staff members. I am not comparing this hotel with Divan or Shangrila but at this price or even at a bit higher range, this hotel is very practical and competes on top of the list.

We had a nice stay, lovely turkish breakfast, friendly staff The staff really made our stay pleasant and were always available. Very convenient location to Taksim square The rooms were comfortable, reasonably priced hotel.

It was total value for the amount they charged per room. The breakfast was a decent spread. The rooms were neat and clean. The staff were always helpful. Isa the manager was the best part of the stay. Always helpful, kind and ready to give genuine advise. Thank you team for Faros and Isa for making our stay great.
