Ibis Issoire

Have stayed many times at this Ibis. Our recent stay was disappointing. Receptionist not welcoming. Spent much of his time on his phone, playing games or smoking outside. There was no white wine available. It sits next door to a large Carrefour. How difficult would it have been to buy a few bottles while awaiting delivery? Corner of duvet very grubby. Such a shame. It used to be a favourite.

Stopped here recently at short notice when my trip was cut short due to a snow storm. Booked in late and the automated system was easy and straight forward. Room as expected for a Budget IBIS clean and tidy with a good shower and comfortable bed. The staff cam into their own when having left early and stopped a six hours later I realised I had left my expensive watch on my bed side table. That sick sinking feeling followed but to no avail. I spoke to Rose and I can only say what wonderful help and honesty she showed. I t was located posted with tracking and received back in the UK a week later. I have nothing but good words and a great deal of gratitude to the staff. My communication and experience with this establishment promotes positivity and faith in honest hard working people. Hotel très mal insonorisé ! le bruit perceptible de la rocade est sans commune mesure avec les bruits des clients qui passent dans le couloir: on entend les gens parler et marcher sur un parquet bruyant comme si ils étaient dans la chambre. La lumière du couloir n'est pas filtrée non plus même la porte fermée, ce qui est d'autant plus pénible que la lumière s'allume par intermittence aux passages des clients. Le surmatelas est plus petit que le matelas, la salle de bains est exigüe ... Bref comme dirait ma femme nous aurions franchement mieux dormi dans la voiture sur une aire d'Autoroute. C'est vraiment à éviter Et comme par hasard le site Accor ne m'a pas sollicité pour donner mon avis, alors qu'il le fait systématiquement sur mes autres nuitées...
