Booked this Ibis as a stopover after visiting family war grave in Rouen.On arrival main door locked so had to book in and pay by credit card at online kiosk outside, that was my first mistake being trusting. On entering there was a delivery cage in the reception/ breakfast area with stale bread left out and a small dog running loose , place was dimly light not very inviting at all . Given room downstairs, on entry it was tiny , no curtain, so everyone could see in if you we’re changing , lighting almost non Existent etc , no pillows / towels , mattress cover had marks on , whole room felt dirty , budget doesn’t mean dirty , spoke to receptionist who retrieved some towels / pillows and we requested a different room second room was 216 was very slightly different , it again-tiny room , no curtains and this time the traffic noise level was terrible. Again we spoke with receptionist who told us its budget all the rooms are the same, same lack of cleaning / noise ? I advised receptionist that we felt the rooms were not acceptable and wanted to cancel and have refund as it was only 3.45 (15.45hrs) we had until 6pm to cancel without charge. Receptionist explained that she couldn’t process’s refund and we need to email etc. We left and booked alternative Logis de France hotels , for our stay in France . Since this Ibis we have cancelled two other Ibis bookings in France and have stayed in other Logis de France Hotels , without incident. It is virtually impossible to contact Ibis / Accor although I have filled out a satisfaction survey and a Accor online complaints form . So if you’re lucky and have no problems good , but god save if you do because Ibis / Accor don’t care . We will never trust stay at an Ibis / Accor establishment ever . Don’t take the risk !!!
