We spent four nights in mid-May staying at Villa Lieta on the fifth leg of a month-long visit to Central Italy. Villa Lieta is reasonably priced and ideally located bed & breakfast in the pedestrian area of laid back Ischia Ponte and within walking distance of bustling Ischia Porto with its connections to the rest of Ischia. Villa Lieta is located on the upper floors of a historic building just steps from the Aragonese Castle. We stayed in the spacious third floor suite which consisted of a living room, bedroom, and kitchen with sea views from the outdoor seating area. We particularly enjoyed breakfast on the terrace which provided spectacular views of sea and the Castle. Notwithstanding the location and the view, what really made Villa Lieta special was our unforgettable hostess Anna Buono who was both welcoming and incredibly helpful, both in planning our days in Ischia and in recommending four great restaurants and making dinner reservations for us both locally (Auras Restaurant and Ristorante da Ciccio) and further afield (La Meridiana in Forio and Ristorante Lampara in nearby Procida). We were very pleased with our stay at Villa Lieta and recommend it highly.

Where to begin? The location is perfect and the view of the Castello and the sea is stunning. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace each morning was the perfect start to the day. Nearby restaurants and particularly Auras offered delicious pasta and seafood. But the secret ingredient to the perfect stay is Anna. She is a fount of knowledge about what to see and do in Ischia and readily shares that information to ensure that you get the most from your stay. This is the place to stay!!!!

We had a comfortable and clean room right in the water. Breakfast on the terrace was great. Anna is such a wonderful proprietor. She arranged a ride for us from Naples to Positano, made us dinner reservations and made our stay unique.

This delightful B&B is located within a stone’s throw of the causeway to the ancient and impressive Castello Aragonese and looks out over the clear waters of the Bay of Naples. Our apartment on the top floor was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The hostess, Anna, was a delight to work with. She knows the local area and is happy to assist with recommendations and to help with making all kinds of arrangements for activities, restaurants and transport. Her staff are friendly and helpful. There is no elevator, so one should be prepared to carry luggage up and down, but Anna and her staff were happy to assist when needed.

My wife and I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Ischia, and stay at Villa Lieta. There aren’t enough adjectives to describe how enjoyable our stay was. First, the owner Anna is the most friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful proprietor you’ll ever want to meet. From the day I made our reservation, to the moment we sadly left Ischia Anna treated us like family! The room was comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Then there is Rosa who prepared our breakfasts each day, and cleaned the room. Just a sweetheart, always wanting to be sure we were comfortable, and had everything we needed. So if you ever get to Ischia, Villa Lieta is the place I recommend. My wife and I look forward to our return. Anna….thank you so much!

The place was charming and overlooked the sea. Breakfast was wonderful but it was Anna, the owner that made the stay amazing. She knows everyone and made us many reservations as well as good suggestions.

Anna was a wonderful host in this beautiful hotel. Loved the top floor suite with terrace over looking the sea. Breakfast was lovely and we even had some Naples folk singing one morning.great location close to Castle and great restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

This is the best property and best host in all of Ischia. The location is central to everything with a great view of the ocean and castle. Ana will be sure you have everything needed for a wonderful stay. Everything you need is close by foot. Ana helped us with booking a hike to the top of Ischia… fantastic!

Ana is a lovely host, with excellent communication before and during our stay. We were lucky enough to get the seaview blue room, and the view of the sea from our little balcony was breathtaking! Villa Lieta is perfectly located, a few steps from the castle, and close to lots of great restaurants and shops. As others have said, a highlight is the roof terrace where you will have a lovely breakfast served, and Ana is happy for you to take drinks up there in the evening, you can even borrow wine glasses and a corkscrew! Be aware that there are a few flights of steps to negotiate as the accommodation is on the 2nd floor of the building and no lift, so worth bearing in mind if this would cause difficulties! But for us, It was a lovely stay, just perfect and we wouldn’t choose anywhere else if we go back to ischia!
