Amazing views, great Italian food, service done from the heart, Very clean, great gardens, small market at the entrance. Walking distance (25-30 minutes down hill) to town. The dining room is spacious , big open windows facing the water and the Aragonese Castle There is something for everyone in the menu

My 3 friends and I had lunch today at La Capanina. It is in a beautiful setting overlooking the Indian Ocean, and we were so excited to visit not having been there before. We were celebrating a birthday, and looking forward to it. We thought the food was very average… I had chicken done with baked vegetables which was tasty, but very overcooked. It looked and tasted like it had been in the oven for quite awhile. They had Fish of the day on the menu but there was none today. The waiter and waitress that served us were very off hand and more interested in each other than the customers. It was very quiet, with only a few tables filled, and we were so disappointed to be told at 2:30 that the bar had closed, then 10 minutes later the restaurant was closing. It took 2 waiters before we got our second drink, and then to watch what looked like a private joke between them which was obviously about us, was very sad. I eat out a lot and very rarely complain, but I will never go back to this restaurant and I guess it’s not surprising it was so empty.

Had a great stay here in July for 5 nights with my partner. Room was quite basic but had everything we needed and a balcony with a clothes line to dry beach towels/ swimwear. Pool area was a nice place to relax during the day & great views overlooking the castle and port. Breakfast served in the restaurant and offered a good selection of pastries, bread, meats & fruit as well as a coffee. Dined in the restaurant a couple of times and the food was delicious - freshly made pasta and the pizzas (only served in the evening) were amazing! Beautiful views over the bay and a great place to watch the sunset. Good location with a bus stop less than 5 minutes away with regular buses to the port & tickets sold at reception. Walked down to the castle one day which took about 40 minutes downhill, quite a steep walk back in the heat so would recommend bus/ taxi if it’s hot! Staff were all really lovely and happy to help - would highly recommend staying here!

The hotel has amazing views and the personnel is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel entrance is around the corner and you need to park your car (if you have one) on the side street where there is a free parking space. The room was clean and had a very nice terrace with amazing views to Porto. The hotel has a nice pool at the top with sun beads and shades. Breakfast was really good, again with amazing views from the restaurant. The only letdown for us were the pillows and the private party held that night just below us with really loud music, which woke all of us up for hours.

La capannina non mi delude mai: panorama mozzafiato, pulizia eccellente , personale affabile , ma, allo stesso tempo, impeccabile, cucina insuperabile. Ti senti a casa ( un grazie speciale a Giampaolo)e ti godi una vacanza fuori dai circuiti turistici godendo solo del meglio di questa isola che e' davvero magnifica! La consiglio vivamente a tutti!

Abbiamo soggiornato presso la Capannina, cenando più volte al ristorante. E’ stata una bellissima esperienza: struttura accogliente con vista mozzafiato sul castello aragonese, piscina panoramica, personale gentile, disponibile e competente, cucina eccezionale. Abbiamo apprezzato in particolare i consigli di Gianpaolo nella scelta dei piatti: è stato preziosissimo!! CONSIGLIATISSIMO!!

Ottimo hotel, personale professionale e gentile. La selezione delle camere sono alcune a vista e con terrazzo, pulizia impeccabile, nella zona superiore c'è una piscina dove ci si può fare un bagno godendo della magnifica vista su l'isola

Concordo con tutte le valutazioni positive date alla struttura : bellissima posizione, facilmente raggiungibile con bus di linea, vista eccezionale, struttura ben curata con camere pulitissime, piscina notevole,cucina super con ampia scelta di piatti caserecci ( assolutamente consigliata la formula di mezza pensione). Ma ciò che fa la differenza rispetto ad altri hotel sono le persone, dai proprietari, il signor Rosario, persona squisita, i figli Pasquale, Domenico e Francesca, professionali e gentili, a tutto il personale che contribuisce a rendere meravigliosa, unica, indimenticabile la vacanza. Quindi un ringraziamento affettuoso alla carinissima Serena, sempre disponibile a dare suggerimenti per le nostre escursioni, a Gianpaolo, attento ai tavoli, che ci ha sempre ben consigliato nella scelta del menù, al pizzaiolo, al cuoco e alla signora delle pulizie. Non vediamo l'ora di ritornare in questo magnifico ambiente familiare!

Ho mangiato bene…non potrei dire diversamente…anche se ho assaggiato ben poco… in due 2 bruschette semplici…1 bucatino al coniglio …2 secondi coniglio e frittura di calamari…1 dolce e 1 biancolella.. per 95.00 euro…vedete voi se è caro o meno…posso solo dire che il personale è gentile…anche se l unica nota dolente è il tempo di attesa…appena seduti subito l acqua e quindi lasciava pensare che fossero veloci nel servizio…ma non è stato così …circa 20 min per ordinare e altri 20 per arrivare il cibo… La veduta è bella …ma è un locale molto caotico pieno di famiglie con bambini piccoli e grosse comitive… Lo sconsiglio per una cena romantica…
