Mánagisting Guesthouse

We (my daughter and I) stayed in room #1 in the annex for one night. Th room is totally void of any comfort whatsoever, has three beds, virtually zero floor space, a single basic night stand, a couple of electrical sockets, and nothing else, no attempt is made to make the room cozy, no photos or decorations of any sort on the walls. The shared toilet was very basic but seemed relatively clean, the shared shower in a separate room had very bad air ventilation and was not inviting for use at all. We did not use it. Worst part is that the room is seriously overpriced at €163 for two guests per night. Outrageous! I didn't see the rooms in the main building, but the staircase is very narrow and steep, not for guests with heavy or voluminous luggage or disabilities.

An unexpected illness the day before my arrival prevented me from staying. I contacted the property to request a reduced cancellation fee since I was outside the cancellation window. I was very disappointed that the property did not grant my cancellation request and charged me the entire room fee. The illness was out of my control and I felt it was in the best interest of all other guests that I cancel my stay since bathroom was shared and I did not want to spread illness. I understand that policies must be enforced but in this situation, I felt that the property should have only charged me a partial fee for the room.

Onvriendelijke ontvangst van de eigebaar. Direct betalen met draadloos bancontact. Weinig uitleg. Gewoon een kamer met 2 persoonsbed en een tafel en stoel. Badkamer vies, schimmel. Keuken ook vies, van alles stuk en weinig keukengerei. Buitendeur maakt veel lawaai

Hier is niet te zien wat op de website afgeschilderd staat. Dit is het ergste wat we gezien hebben in Ijsland. De prijs, €165 voor 2personen zonder ontbijt. We kregen een kamer van 12m² in de beneden verdieping met uitzicht de onderkant van de geparkeerde auto's. De douche was vol schimmel. De keuken onhygiënisch en versleten. In de gevangenis denk ik dat ze het beter hebben wat accommodatie betreft. Dit heeft ons pijn gedaan, het is een dikke dikke schande.
