Mixed feelings but overall a good experience Pros: 1) Vintage look..loved the Central Staircase in the lobby, gilded painting, older style taps and furniture 2) Room and bathroom was really clean..housekeeping staff did a good job 3) All required in-room amenities like kettle, iron,hot towel rack in bathroom, etc. were present 4) Reception staff wasn't exactly friendly but did their job well 5) There is no uber in inverness so the taxi booking from reception was a good service Cons: Hotel is in dire need of renovation..creaking floorboards, faded wallpapers, chipped bathroom tiles, chiped furniture edges, peeling plaster in bathroom (in some places), garish Yellow wallpaper which was chipped at the room corners and a really ancient elevator were some of the issues that we observed.
