I am normally a big fan of Premier Inns , We would always check for their availability first when travelling. This hotel is really disappointing and Premier Inn need to get some senior management in to assess this hotel and stay as guests to get the feel of the place. The car park is good and spacious but the hotel is tired and uninviting . The entrance is dowdy with overflowing bins. The reception staff were pleasant, as were the cleaning staff . We booked a four night stay with breakfast. The rooms are very tired but beds comfy . The restaurant is dull and breakfast appalling. We pre paid £18 odd for breakfast and the hot buffet was cold as were the plates . Dry bacon etc The kitchen ran out of eggs an hour before breakfast was finished on two of the mornings and the continental buffet station was practically empty an hour before breakfast was finished . The staff were doing their best but this restaurant needs a huge shake up . Walk in breakfasts were being sold with the result that the guests who had pre booked had virtually no food left to eat. I had a slice of toast ( from the oldest slowest, toaster I’ve ever seen ) with no butter left , but got a slice of butter from the kitchen, a cup of tea and half a plate of rice crispys for my pre paid breakfast, all croissants etc were finished . Absolutely shocking experience. The hotel is in a good location and is busy with wedding guests for a very popular nearby venue, as well as tourists and workers but it needs a complete overhaul to bring it up to the standard of the other Premier Inns in Inverness and the rest of the Uk .
