Welcoming family-run hotel, the room was simple yet comfortable with view on the mountains across the small valley. Owners and staff very service-oriented and friendly. We took our dinners at the hotel and the food was very good. Breakfast was good though not a huge choice. There is a homey feeling with the common living room area with books & family games. To the point that other travelers were in there with the door closed and their dog running around free, jumping on whoever entered. This is not an issue with the hotel obviously but with the dog's owners. We kept our own dog in our room, out of respect to staff & travelers, not everyone likes dogs! Maybe a clear rule for the common spaces would be good. The only downside is the noise, e.g. when there are children running in the hallway you hear it well, which is absolutely to be expected in a very old wooden chalet! However, everyone was careful of the noise from a certain hour and it was fine. The pass was closed in May, so very little traffic on the road in front, it is probably noisier during the day when it is open.
