Super comfy beds and attractive rooms . Delicious food and fantastic staff who made me feel very welcome last night. The menu was really varied which made a pleasant change and the dish I ordered was cooked to perfection and well priced too . It would be a real bonus if they offered breakfast but that’s the only downside

The best Sunday lunch! Great food quality, choice & accommodating food allergies. Excellent value & brilliant staff! Highly recommended. We have visited on several occasions for Sunday lunch or during the week, it’s nice to be able to have options for those that enjoy a good steak or vegetarian food (we have both in our family).

Excellent first class service room was lovely food fantastic all staff were very professional could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable well done would highly recommend 10/10 we look forward to our next visit the place is value for money

We stayed here whilst in the area for a family christening. The room we stayed in (Earl) was beautiful, comfortable and spacious. There was freshly ground coffee, a carafe of water and biscuits on arrival which was a lovely touch. We also popped down to the restaurant in the evening for a light bite and a couple of drinks and that was excellent. Lots of car parking too. I will definitely stay here again when next in the area

Really good quality food and menu. Nice environment where the tables are space out and you can have a proper conversation without shouting. Great steaks medium rare. liked being able to order a carafe of wine as driving and didn't need a bottle.

Matt and the team run a good gastro pub. With quality beers brewed by the brew shed brewery in Ingham. We had Our Mum’s wake on Tuesday , the family also stayed the night in the accommodation, which is also very good. The food for the buffet was outstanding and plentiful, with an amazing carrot cake being the stand out item. We had dinner in the evening which again was very good , pub classics done with a modern twist. Matt and the team really looked after us and we will return in happier circumstances, once again a big thank you to the whole team, Mum would have loved it! The Hayns family.

Having already stayed the night in Bury, we decided to stop here for a drink on our journey home, or so we thought ! A couple of drinks in this delightful place, we decided to enquire if there were any free rooms, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, and shortly after, we were given the key to the lovely Earl room, huge comfy bed, lots of space and a nice big bathroom with bath, lots of tea/coffee and yummy biscuits couldn't ask for more ! We booked a table for dinner and in a word sensational. We had a starter of Whitebait cooked to perfection, followed by what I can honestly say was the best steak I've had in years, delicious. My partner had a burger which again was truly fantastic. The Cardogan and its staff are lovely, great food and wine list, we loved it so much we booked to stay for 2 nights in September and can not wait to return.

Amazing meal as always, new autumn menu has just started, gorgeous food, great variety, knowledgeable and friendly staff, hard to beat. Our favourite pub/restaurant in Bury, great choice of wine with knowledgeable and informed staff x

Sunday evening visit to this restaurant I have been many times. It was very quiet only a few diners in. The food was nice, we had Roast beef (x 1) Roast loin of pork (x1) Salmon (x1) The food was well prepared. The problem was flies, lots of them, spoilt the evening continually batting them away from the food and ourselves. I mentioned this and was told 'the restaurant is sprayed regularly' not much of a good answer, maybe being in a rural location it may help to keep the entrance door shut which had been open I am told for the duration of our stay, probably two and a half hours. If this is the issue at the front of house, I dread to think what the kitchens and back areas were like. Wouldn't visit again.
