First Group Midlands Saddle and Trout

chalets are dirty damp and stinking. sheets are dirty stain with blood. wall damp and pealing. forget it being a 3 star it is more like disaster resort. booked for 3 nights. checking out first thing tomorrow after first night. i stay in chalet 21A

We booked a family stay for 12 having one big house 8 sleeper and one unit to accommodate 2 adults 2 children. Midlands saddle is a family venue no doubt safe and most beautiful. The location, views, farm feel absolute quiet and real value for money. The big house, was really spacious and has its own pool which was a highlight. Post covid still maintaing properties of this size is really difficult. The house if not maintained will definitely fall into disrepair. Unit 13 had ovens that dont work, one had whole glass loose as you open, not much cooking utensils like bowls, utility knives, courtyard poorly maintained, lots and lots of cockroaches has to be fumigated ASAP. We had to ask maintenance to use vacuum on ceiling of lounge so that we could at least sit. The pool area not swept, no umbrella put up. Really a question of keeping up the place. We didnt use the cupboards very untidy boarded, carpets look like nit cleaned in years. From fire place to garages not maintained well.

Pathetic service Rooms bad stove doesn't work Rooms Not maintained. Towels need to be changed Games should be part of the accommodation why do we have pay another R150 as there no facilities. Boring place No born fire no music no entertainment Fine if u just want to pay to sleep

Beyond the view, not great! Disappointed to see the property looking worse and worse after every visit. Serious fly problem, roof leaking in 3 places in the unit, no backup power solution for constant power outages, room is in need of serious maintenance, property is looking rough around the edges. It seems the only good thing is the view. We won’t be back.

Location is beautiful but that is it. So so disappointed. Bed was not even made on arrival. All cutlery and crockery are mismatched. Curtains do not close proberly Restaurant closed at 16h00 on a Sunday.Mirrors and tiles in the bathroom broken Overall housekeeping is really not up to standard. No lights at the braai area

On the 9th August to 12 August 2024 me and my friends visited Midlands Saddle. Huuu what a wonderful and enjoyable trip. From the gate to the receptionist the staff were very nice. At the receptionist we met Songezo, a very polite, calm and down to earth guy. We were group of 8, not knowing that we were suppose to call the resort to inform them about our group, our rooms were far from each other but with the help of Songezo he manage to put us close to each other. thank you very much Mr, you really make our stay to be a memorable one. We also met Dhayniska, an Indian lady with a heart of gold. She offered herself to take us photos with her own beautiful phone and show us some of the beautiful place around the resort. Rooms were very clean and neat. thank you very much Midlands Saddle, surely I will encourage other friends and family to visit your resort.
