I read the reviews but, unfortunately, didn’t take their content as seriously as I should have. To be honest, the hotel is undergoing dramatic rehab and that may account for the run down appearance. But, that doesn’t excuse our first encounter upon arrival. The clerk on duty Saturday, October 7th, was rude to the point of being uncivil. It is the most unwelcome I ever received. She asked if I had an appointment even before I got to the front desk. Then she said “ID”. Not a Welcome to our hotel, not a smoke but rather a cold feeling of no interest at all that we chose her hotel to stay. Then she looked us up and said”Credit Card”. That’s it!! And, no mention of our Hilton Honors status or thanking us for our loyalty to the brand. We stayed at a Hampton Inn in northern Kentucky the night before and were treated as guests should be. So, it’s not the entire brand just some that tray guest poorly. The hotel rugs are stained and there was a moldy smell in our room and stronger in the bathroom. When we checked out there was no one at the desk when we left. Frankly, I expected better from Hampton Inn and Hilton properties. Management st this location needs to take a very honest look at their hotel operations!!
