Petra Mare

We had an amazing stay at Petra Mare Hotel! The staff in every area were incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. The hotel is large, spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and very well organized. The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the facilities—especially the pools and beach access—made everything perfect. Highly recommended for a relaxing and luxurious stay in Crete! The hotel was put best choice in Greece for all the time! The staff was attentive and extremely kind. Maria, the front office manager is a Gem! The rooms are very comfortable, clean and modern. The Food is amazing! Been so many times on crete in different hotels, but I have never experienced such a brilliant kitchen full of local tasty dishes! There is always something for everyone as the choice is amazingly wide. Fish, seafood, and others. Amazing!!! The beach is pebbly-sandy, but the sea is crystal clear. Good for swimming and usually calm. Animation for kids and adults is great. The southern most city of Europe- Ierapetra is in reach of the hotel, within a walking distance. You can see the Napoleon’s house, the old mosque, have a frappe at the seashore… and many many more…

We stayed here with friends and families. What can I say: cleanliness is good, the variety of food is huge and good ( even tough the last day I felt sick and dont know whether the reason was food or not), however it was different every day and tasty. For children there are different pools and activities. The hotel area is not so big, which is bad and it was almost crowded in the afternoon especially beside the pools. The water temperature in pools was low I suppose because it was cold, especially the wind always blows there. I should also say thanks to the hotel administration for upgrading our room, as well as for birthday cakes and more.

Excellent hotel. This is a lovely hotel, it is modern and very well maintained with all the accommodation in the main building. We stayed for 10 nights in July/Aug 2024 as a family of 4 (kids are not really kids anymore, 18 and 20) and the family room was big enough for us all. The room was modern and clean with a large bathroom. There are 2 pools, a large children's pool with slides and a large pool for everyone. We never had a problem getting a sunbed by the pool or on the beach, no need for getting up at 6am to put your towel down, in fact there are signs telling you it is not allowed. The staff in this hotel are great from the reception staff who deal with your queries on the spot, to the cleaners. The food is excellent with a wide variety everyday, there is something for everyone and no problem getting a table There are also 3 bookable restaurants available, we tried all 3 and they also were very good. The animation team were brilliant, in fact the best I have encountered. Involving you in activities if you wanted to join in, making you feel very welcomed, but leaving you alone if you just wanted to chill by the pool. They also put on very good evening shows and there were also outside acts on some nights. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would return. Thank you for a great holiday.

Hotel Petra Mare is a wonderful place to relax. Delicious food, clean and incredibly friendly service. The hotel is located on the beach, always free sun loungers. Various sports attractions are organized every day throughout the day. In the evenings there were great animation shows led by the amazing Salvatore and his team. The animator Julia from Poland was amazing. Always full of humor and very helpful. The kids had a great time. the best vacation we have ever been on. Recommended: family 2+2 children (5 and 10 years old).

Our visit to Petra Mare was brilliant. The food was amazing, tasty and we never got bored; we really like the variety of kids meals. We loved the entertainment team - they were all so kind, fun and made our time at Petra Mare exciting. The pool is gorgeous ..missing it …the water classes is a must. There were plenty of. Sun beds , every spot is a good spot, where you can see your kids. The bartenders were generous with the drinks - loved it. There was always something to eat and drink. The Spa was lovely - Shout to Mary, best deep tissue message I have ever received- definitely worth the money. I had such a Relaxing time and my children enjoyed the kids club- my children cried when they were saying goodbye. The team in the kids club took care of our kids and ensured they had a fabulous time. This is a place for family and relaxing. We made new friends and every night the entertainment was on point- please always check it out. If you have kids - please go to mini disco at 8:30. My kids are still dancing to it at home. Did I mention excellent customer service- when we had an issue it was quickly resolved with a smile. Thank you guys for accommodating us and for a great experience. We are so grateful for our time there - we loved it and we will definitely return
