Hotel O Ieper

A very simple hotel.. however not much parking available.. not so convinient for travellers with car rental.. the room is ok.

The staff are friendly and the hotel itself is clean. It is the perfect place for a short break in the heart of Ieper. Everything that you need from transport, eateries to historically sites are just outside of the hotel. And the spectacular Menin Gate is within a 5 minutes walk.

Went as a group, so check in was easy! Room was spacious, usual tea/coffee facilities. Nice en suite, good shower with toiletries. Breakfast was included, good choice of food, teas , coffee etc. Our room had an excellent view looking at the cathedral! Hotel is in middle of town, about 5 min walk from Menin Gate. Also near to cathedral, bars and shops.

The hotel is situated just off the grote market. It is well situated and all popular tourist attractions are no more than 5 minutes walk away. On entering the hotel, we were greeted by a very pleasant receptionist. Our room was no 123 on the 2nd floor. A big room with a king sized Bed and a wet room with a view onto the street. There was a kettle and a fridge with tea and coffee provided and also a safe. The biggest bonus is the included breakfast 😋. Not the best but definitely not the worst. It is a self service breakfast. Free parking is available on street after 6pm until 9.00am. Also free parking is available 24hrs per day at the minneplein which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend to anyone.

Exceptionally good stay, particular credit for reception experience and ongoing contact with staff during the visit. Extremely helpful and it does lift a trip to engage with people running the hotel. I thought this was really top value, I had a comfy room with a bath. Decent breakfast and it is a nice place to eat, plenty of natural light. This is two minutes from the Menin Gate and seconds from the Grote Markt. I was able to do bike hire from Ieper Bikes about a minute away and got out to Langemark and Tyne Cot. Ypres is always a classic stay and this hotel is strong. Defo a recommendation.

Had a 2 night stay to celebrate my dads 70th Birthday. Our bedroom looked out at the square and the Flanders field museum. The hotel was very clean, staff all very friendly. Breakfast was filling with a nice selection. Great location for menin gate & to explore.

Had a room on the top floor, had to use two elevators to reach it. Room was small with sloping ceiling low enough that I banged my face a couple of times. Room was painted almost completely dark brown which made it very dark. Room walls had 3 largish holes in where it looked like someone had punched them. Bed was king size but duvet was only double so sides of bed were not covered by the duvet and duvet was very thin. OK even warm but no good in colder weather. Pillows were only square cushion size and very thin. Reception only open 3pm till 6pm so if you wanted anything such as extra pillows or extra tea / coffee ir you had any other problems there was no one available to ask outside these hours. Very very basic. OK for one night, which is all we had booked, but wouldn't have stayed longer. Only redeeming feature was the breakfast, very nice substantial continental breakfast.

The hotel is well placed right in the centre. Parking available outside hotel. Did not notice until late in evening but the bed was not changed and had hair in it. Woke up the next morning and was bitten by bed bugs. Breakfast was nice and a good selection of food
